Greg Bovino Loses His Job
The Border Patrol chief has been ousted from his role as "commander at large," and will return to El Centro.

Gregory Bovino has been removed from his role as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to his former job in El Centro, California, where he is expected to retire soon, according to a DHS official and two people with knowledge of the change.
Bovino's sudden demotion is the clearest sign yet that the Trump administration is reconsidering its most aggressive tactics after the killing Saturday of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents under Bovino's command.
Earlier today, President Trump appeared to signal in a series of social-media posts a tactical shift in the administration's mass-deportation campaign. Trump wrote that he spoke with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz--whom the White House has blamed for inciting violence--and the two men are now on "a similar wavelength." Tom Homan, the former ICE chief whom Trump has designated "border czar," will head to Minnesota to assume command of the federal mobilization there, Trump said.

(1,749 posts)All the Border Patrol and ICE sadists will remain, in full force..........AND, will soon be backed up with the U.S. Military Soldiers.......
And the Republican CABAL will install someone just as bad, if not worse.........
Trump is just a tiny part of the problem, folks.......what is escaping everyone's attention, is that it is the Entire Group of Republicans (and all of those Uber Rich Republican Oligarchs), directing things from the shadows, as well as the Republican U.S. Senators, Republican U.S. House, and the U.S. Supreme Court Republican Justices as much as anyone/anything.........It is also the Republican owned/operated main stream media, Republican Governors, and The entire Republican CABAL, made up of advisors, appointees, and Cabinet members that are orally bathing Trump in lavish and nauseating praise to start every cabinet meeting..........
AND most of all, the U.S. Corporations that put all of these above people into office with outrageous campaign donations.
THE U.S. CORPORATIONS, Almost exclusively, bought and paid for the best Republican Politicians that money can buy.....

(51,782 posts)Border Patrol commander at large Gregory Bovino has been removed from his role and will return back to his old job in California, according to reports.
Bovino, who has been heavily involved in crackdowns on immigration across the country, will return to El Centro and is expected to retire soon, a DHS official and two other sources told The Atlantic.
However, in an online statement DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin denied the claims.
Bovino was set to leave Minneapolis as soon as Tuesday, CNN reported. However news of his role change had not been specified. Meanwhile CNN reports that the Bovino has also had his access to his social media accounts cut off, effective immediately

(258 posts)Maybe Homan will now secretly demand that the Minnesota Governor provide him with a cash bribe to make CPB leave the sate. Following this supposedly good news of Bovino's replacement with Homan, it would be great if Walz made a public statement that he will not be making any cash deals with Homan for CPB to leave his state.

(7,516 posts)Taco backs down after having the whole world throw their shit in his face about the latest evil he's done, and when it gets to be "too much" he backs down. Except he doesn't. He explains he's going to pull these guys or those guys out because the democratic governor of the democratic city he's been terrorizing suddenly sees things his way, and since they're now "sympatico" he'll ease up a little bit.
Bullshit! Walz did not cave in to trump,no matter how many times trump wants to yell it to the public. WE know he backed down because he got backed into a corner by himself and his goons, and just couldn't take the heat any longer. But I really am tired of him blaming all evil on the democrats, and when the evil he does gets to be too much and he has to backtrack, suddenly that particular democrat is AOK in his book. Tell me another story, Mr. Dementia.
