Gov. Tim Walz meets with border czar Tom Homan

ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has had his first meetings with federal border czar Tom Homan, one day after President Donald Trump said he was sending Homan to take over immigration enforcement operations in the state.
According to a statement from Gov. Walz's office, Walz and Homan met Tuesday morning and "agreed on the need for an ongoing dialogue."
In the meeting, the governor's office said Walz listed three priorities for Minnesota:
• Impartial investigations into the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents
• A swift, significant reduction in the number of federal forces in Minnesota
• An end to the campaign of "retribution" against Minnesota
Gov. Walz has made the Minnesota Department of Public Safety the liaison to work with Homan on the state's goals.
