The UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, said Ukrainian experts would provide guidance on intercepting Iranian drones being launched at Gulf allies, as Tehran responds to the US-Israeli strikes on Iran.

“We are not joining these strikes, but we will continue with our defensive actions in the region,” Starmer said on Sunday night.

“And we will also bring experts from Ukraine, together with our own experts, to help Gulf partners shoot down Iranian drones attacking them.”

Ukraine was yet to comment on Starmer’s announcement.

For Iran helping Russia with their drone supply. I’d imagine that’s what it’s about.

Trump is a zero factor in this, IMHO. They are chewing up stuff that could be used to attack them.

These are some of the types of drones Russia attacks them with. Any think they have learned about how to bring them down will be helpful.

So having a situation occur where Iran has to divert their drones for their own use, at least keeps those things from going to Russia, and thus kneecaps Russia during this time.

And in this case, they would apparently be helping the UK vs the U.S.

I don’t think this was so much about Iran as it was about hitting China’s energy supply, as far as the US is concerned (and helping the gulf states that have paid off the Orange Terror).

Israel has its own regional objectives, and Ukraine has a vested interest in keeping those drones out of Russian hands. I don’t think there is any singular issue that provoked this attack and no plan or care for what happens in Iran.
