Russia is providing Iran intelligence to target U.S. forces, officials say

Source: WaPo

Russia is providing Iran with targeting information to attack American forces in the Middle East, the first indication that another major U.S. adversary is participating — even indirectly — in the war, according to three officials familiar with the intelligence.

The assistance, which has not been previously reported, signals that the rapidly expanding conflict now features one of America’s chief nuclear-armed competitors with exquisite intelligence capabilities.

Since the war began Saturday, Russia has passed Iran the locations of U.S. military assets, including warships and aircraft, said the three officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the matter’s sensitivity.

“It does seem like it’s a pretty comprehensive effort,” one of the people said.

8. Vlad may not like the attacks on Iran, but he's still getting what he wants from his #1 asset in the US.

Letting Nuttyyahoo hijack his asset for a while may not be that much of a problem. In fact, Putin wouldn't mind the US failing in the ME once again. Wouldn't mind it at all.

The rising oil and gas prices are definitely helping Putin.

And the US was forced to concede that they can’t really stop India or others from buying Russian oil/gas.

“ The US treasury has issued a 30-day waiver allowing India to buy Russian oil, having previously imposed heavy sanctions related to the war in Ukraine.”

Looks to me like they are, let’s be generous and say indirectly, helping Russia. Russia who is assisting our enemy Iran with targeting Americans per WaPo.

From what I have read Russia hit a 4 year low in oil and gas revenue in January and the longer the Iran war goes on the more Russia will likely benefit financially from the increase in oil prices. Not good for us and our ally Ukraine.

Interesting that Trump has turned Putin
into an enemy on the Iranian front, and
a friend on the Ukrainian front.

Somehow this is very insane.

12. Does the US really expect Russia and China to allow us to cut them off at the knees?
Fri Mar 6, 2026, 11:55 AM

After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, and the US created the New World Order, we put ourselves in charge of global pricing where we'd decide the value of everything.

At the bottom, we assigned Russia with "Resources"
Then China with "Manufacturing"
Then Europe with "Knowledge"
and at the top, the USA with "Finance".

That's the current unstable system in place.

If we think for one moment that China and Russia are going to allow us to knock them out of the game, that's foolish wishing. Russia's invasion of Ukraine put that whole system in jeopardy because Russia and China will call the shots thanks to control of many resources and manufacturing. Someone should ask Trump who's going to manufacture a lot of the stuff he needs to keep fighting Iran. Jiang calls what's going on now the "Game Reset".

He explains it much better than I tried to. FastForward to 39:00 but the whole lecture is fascinating.

This is a simple way to keep the US overextended. The more US arms tied to the Iran effort, the less available for Ukraine.

This goes both ways (especially with Shahed drones) but those are relatively cheap.

This administration isn’t bound by any traditional rules of engagement however. As we have seen with ICE depraviltiy, There’s nothing stopping the US from behaving the way as Russia has in Ukraine or Israel has in Gaza especially if this gets dragged out and isn’t going as well as expected.
