Top Republican Accuses Trump Admin of Keeping Congress In the Dark on Iran: 'They're Not Telling Us Things'

Source: MEDIAite

Mar 25th, 2026, 5:19 pm

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL), the chair of the House Armed Services Committee, put the Pentagon on blast on Wednesday following a classified briefing on Iran. Politico’s Connor O’Brien reported on Rogers’s frustrations, which included not getting clear information about the ongoing conflict, including the potential deployment of ground troops onto Iranian territory.

“We want to know more about what’s going on, what the options are, and why they’re being considered,” Rogers said. “We’re just not getting enough answers.”. “This is not just about Epic Fury” he continued, adding, “This is a consistent pattern of tagging the base and saying ‘We came over and briefed you.’ But they’re not telling us things.”

O’Brien noted that Rogers was not the only top Republican frustrated with the Pentagon on Wednesday. Senate Armed Services Chair Roger Wicker (R-MS) reacted to Rogers’s comments, saying, “Let me put it this way: I can see why he might have said that. I haven’t heard his comment, and I don’t know the context. But I can see why he might have said that.”

“We just wanted them to tell us what’s the plan, and we didn’t get any answers,” Wicker added. “I understand they can’t give us, they shouldn’t give us, specific operational details. But generally, we should be able to get more texture than we’re receiving from them.”

“We just wanted them to tell us what’s the plan

There is no "plan". Just concepts of a blueprint for the draft of a plan.

Pretending to be in the dark about all of it is ridiculous.

Trump is trying to extort Iran for oil, cash, land.

The GOP congress knows this and wants their cut of the haul, as per usual.

"Trump is trying to extort Iran for oil, cash, land."

Venezuela has THE worlds largest oil reserves, with Iran Second and Russia third largest reserves...

Republicans declared war on Venezuela, and have illegally invaded and have literally taken over their country, by force, for the U.S. Oil companies......The Republicans have now turned control of Venezuela over to the U.S. Oil companies to run........SAME EXACT THING CHENEY DID IN IRAQ. After spending two trillion dollars on the war in IRAQ, Cheney divided up IRAQ, into six areas, each controlled by a U.S. Oil company.....

NOW, They want to wipe out the world's largest, major oil supplier, to eliminate competition.

We are seeing these other countries invaded, militarily crushed one by one, for the purpose of controlling the oil.........
Next up? How about Iceland, Greenland, Canada for their incredible amount of oil and other precious metals?????
Not sure why we have invaded Equador, putting a big bunch of our special forces on the ground there, which is not being talked alot about. Maybe just to help out their Dictator, who is wanting to stay in control, and a known Trump Lover.....

All of this crap happening is way way beyond Trump.........and is most likely the 2025 group, Uber Rich Republicans top 1%ers, and Republican Corporations......
The Republicans, who are truly running things, have told the Military Industrial Complex to do a major ramp up of the supply of weapons, particularly the rocket suppliers.
The Wealthy and Corporations have had their taxes cut to practically nothing and they are eliminating all the social programs, deeming them frivolous to better spend the tax money from us 99%ers on THEIR wars and other pet 2025 Projects....

All that Trump cares is that he and his spawn will become trillionaires.
And he is keeping his minders happy.
Trump is just the snake oil salesman for his evil minders.

Meidas is saying some US bases in Middle East are moving personnel to hotels as the bases are being hit so hard by Iran, using Russian projectiles. US media is mostly under Trump's control, so are Americans in the dark about how badly Trump/Hegseth screwed up.

The GOP Congress has allowed Trump, who sure acts like a agent of Russia, to spend nearly a month spending money badly and now losing the war he started. If they don't take him out of office immediately, things are only going to get worse if they don't act now.

You made it so he doesn't have to tell you anything. Also, Mike Rogers, if you are trying to weasel out of culpability with this statement....you and the GOP own this war because of your votes and whatever he does is your fault. Hopefully this will result in the GOP getting pummeled in the midterms.

One who has actual villains whispering in his ear, "Sir, you are so smart and everyone deserves your vengeance, because they don't appreciate you." As for the villains there are many and they are handing him gold trophies and billions of dollars. Some are grabbing right off the top of all the incoming cash, and some, at a distance, are being given prizes like top secrets.

Rump's war in Iran. Their Republican constituents, I should say.

If they didn't have any blow back from their Republican constituents, they wouldn't be pushing back on Rump.

I'm telling you, the Republican voters who got us into this God awful hellscape may turn out to be the ones who get us out of it, since Rump and his flying monkeys will be doing everything they can to suppress Democrat voters' votes, but not Republican voters' votes (although their efforts may backfire, since the SAVE Act will hurt Repub voters, too).

So if there are enough Republican voters who don't show up or who actually vote Democrat, we should be able to win in November and in 2028, despite Rump's efforts to stead the elections. I hope.

The Pentagon has no strategy because they have no mission. All they are doing is answering the phone and doing when Trump tells them to do each day.

If you want answers, you need to talk to the Saudis, Netanyahu, and Putin. They are calling the shots. They seem like strange bedfellows, but they all have reasons for this war. And they are all different reasons, but they are each accomplishing what they want.
