GOP calls to get undocumented children out of public schools grow

Source: The Hill

03/30/26 6:00 AM ET

Republicans are ramping up talks of overturning Plyler v. Doe, the Supreme Court decision that gave children of people living in the country illegally rights to a free public education.

The talks have stretched from Republican states such as Tennessee to the White House, accelerating an immigration crackdown in education under President Trump that began at U.S. universities with foreign students who struggled to get visas or were arrested for their political activism.

At a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing this month, Republican lawmakers said the Supreme Court had no right to make the decision and the additional cost of immigrants lacking permanent legal status in schools was a burden on taxpayers.

“It’s time we meet the moment to overturn Plyler v. Doe. It’s time for Congress and the courts to address the glaring failures of this court decision and finally alleviate Texans and Americans alike from this burden,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) said.

Whether raping them, starving them, deporting them, blowing them up, and now throwing them out of schools.

These people are monsters and ghouls.

Such fine, upstanding humans. They still don’t want the “slaves” educated. Just like ol’times. Git that banjo playing, brownie. We’ve got mint juleps to drink.

They look lovingly on pictures of three fingered children working the textile loom in the "good old days" or digging coal with bare hands.

and in some states, are getting vouchers (paid for by people who actually PAY taxes) to send their kids to private schools. The immigrants ARE paying taxes, so, ironically, they are paying for those vouchers, while their own kids are being shut out of the public schools.
Cruelty seems to be the goal.

They're setting up the false narrative and we fall into it, everytime.

They're running it up the flagpole for the fall and the last big meetings at church before summer break. They want the preachers to get the message to all of the concerned white parents. And then the media will run with it and ask Democrats why they want the American citizens to carry the tax burden for brown children.

Instead of talking about the drain on our economy by this Administration. The war, the unnecessary destruction and rebuilding for reasons of asthetics, not necessity. For the Felon suing the American taxpayer, for settling with an admitted criminal (Flynn). Last but not least, the Epstein files.

But yes, by all means, let's go after the scourge of our society, the children.
