Stephen Miller Retreats in Humiliation After Deadly Misstep

Source: daily beast

OFF THE GRID
The wildly unpopular Trump adviser has seemingly gone into hiding.

Laura Esposito Apr. 5 2026 5:03PM EDT

Stephen Miller, the architect of Donald Trump’s most severe immigration policies, has seemingly been hiding from the American public.

Miller, a longtime Trump adviser who serves as deputy chief of staff for policy and homeland security adviser, has avoided public appearances, The New York Times reported, in the wake of a disastrous immigration crackdown that culminated in the deaths of two American citizens in Minnesota, Alex Pretti and Renee Good, both 37, at the hands of federal agents.

Additionally, a Times analysis found that Miller appeared on Fox News, the president’s favorite network, once every four days since Trump returned to the White House. But in the wake of Pretti’s January 24 death, Miller appeared on the network only twice in February.

Despite a national outcry over policies he has helped craft—and polling in recent months ranking him among the most loathed political figures in the United States—Miller still presides over shaping new zero-tolerance immigration policies, just not as publicly...........................

Along with his master's health issues. If Vance takes over, there's little chance any in the inner circle will survive. Even the cabinet. Trump doesn't build teams in the normal sense that work together. He builds collections of competitors, all vying for his attention and screwing each other to get it. I doubt there's little love lost between Herr Miller and the rest. He may be left twisting in the breeze and realizes it.

I'm sure Miller's days in the White House will be numbered once anyone other than Trump is in the driver's seat.

If he does die in office and Vance takes over, I think things could get very interesting in some good ways and some not so good. I don't think any of us has seen the "real" JD Vance yet. When he became Trump's running mate, he totally made himself over to Trump's specifications, but I don't think he's ever been a true believer. He's just a power hungry guy who was willing to sell his soul for a chance to become veep, and I suspect he's not at all happy having to spend his days apologizing for Trump's bloopers and trying to convince people that everything is okay despite the evidence they can see with their own eyes.

On the positive side, I think that he'll likely do a complete makeover of the cabinet in addition to making changes in the White House staff. He'll probably replace the current clowns with much more competent people (not that that's a very high bar lol), and he won't be a completely unhinged, dementia-damaged lunatic. On the negative side, one thing we do know about him is that he's extremely anti-abortion and probably anti-birth control as well, so he'll no doubt suck where those issues are concerned. But whatever happens, he won't just be a continuation of Trump. He'll be his own man, whoever that is.

Anything that makes him look bad (i.e. weak) causes what's called a narcissistic injury.

A narcissistic injury is a deep emotional wound or insult experienced by a narcissist when their inflated self-image or grandiosity is threatened or exposed.

https://www.simplypsychology.org/what-is-narcissistic-injury.html

A narcissistic injury can be triggered by anything from a major event like losing the 2020 election to a petty slight most of us wouldn't even notice, and his reaction is to fly into a rage. His fragile ego won't let him admit his own mistakes even to himself, so he blames anyone else he can and attacks them savagely. Narcissistic injury is what all the insults in his Trash Social posts are about, and it's what fuels his thirst for revenge. Any time he starts going off on someone, you can bet your bootie that person has been the source of a narcissistic injury to him.

12. Stephen Miller at crossroads in Trump admin after he 'backpedaled' on key issue: report
Sun Apr 5, 2026, 06:53 PM
Sunday

Stephen Miller is a major league racist who has pushed the immigration crackdown. It was Miller who told ICE and Border Patrol to use harsh tactics and ignore the due process rights. It was Miller who set quotas for arrests. It seems that Miller is being forced to tone things down due to the backlash to the tactics used by ICE and Border Patrol.

One of President Donald Trump's fiercest allies in his administration faces a crossroads after he was forced to backpedal on a key issue, according to a new report.

The New York Times reported on Sunday that Stephen Miller, Trump's deputy chief of staff for policy, is facing questions about how he can continue to drive the Trump administration's hard-line approach to enforcing immigration law, given the waning appetite of the Republican Party and the American public over the brutal images of immigrants being forcibly detained by federal agents.

Miller has been a key architect of the Trump administration's immigration policies, and at one time seemed to be telling federal agents to "Push the limits" when it comes to the tactics they use to deport people, according to the report.

"Eight months later, Mr. Miller did something startling — he backpedaled," the report added.

"Now, Mr. Miller, 40, one of the most influential presidential advisers in recent memory and an unabashed champion of Mr. Trump’s hard-line immigrant crackdown, is at a crossroads," it continued. "He faces questions about how aggressively he can continue to drive the deportation campaign, and how much appetite his party and the country have for tactics that proved successful in helping to boost arrests of immigrants but reignited a polarizing debate over what it means to be American."

God sees you no matter where you try to hide. And enough of us will watch and note wherever it is that you try to hide from what I strongly suspect is a profound punishment-in-waiting. Either here OR in the Afterlife. Or probably more like BOTH.

The FAA’s “Temporary” Flight Restriction for Drones is a Blatant Attempt to Criminalize Filming ICE

The Trump administration has restricted the First Amendment right to record law enforcement by issuing an unprecedented nationwide flight restriction preventing private drone operators, including professional and citizen journalists, from flying drones within half a mile of any ICE or CBP vehicle.

In January, EFF and media organizations including The New York Times and The Washington Post responded to this blatant infringement of the First Amendment by demanding that the FAA lift this flight restriction. Over two months later, we’re still waiting for the FAA to respond to our letter.

Other than the Felon, he is the face of this Administration and will remain so until his end of life. Unfortunately for him, the Felon will very soon be gone.
And that will leave him for the rest of us to focus on.

There is absolutely nothing that could happen to him that would elicit one iota of sympathy from me. Any suffering could only be enhanced by the length of time he would have to endure it.

BTW, the suffering I speak of doesn't require it to be physical. There are many forms of agony.

The question is how many of us they will take down with us.

This is Troy Farah..Troy Farah. I know exactly what Troy Farah thinks because he is a decent guy - he is a milennial and I am not.
So what he is getting at here..we are in a sort of. Well I hope not a Cuban Missile Crisis situation.
But I do look at the left - people like Troy Farah and Yasha Levine to figure out how bad it could get for all of us.
I am not very moderate in material ways in this right shifted reality. So I try to dial the temperature down pragmatically wherever one can without sacrificing or diluting much.

And I do not understand mob dynamics enough to easily parse media crafted for large audiences with some confusing ai/algorithmically driven personalization:

https://www.salon.com/2026/04/04/maybe-its-time-to-give-elon-musk-control-of-the-sun/

I’ve been thinking about Musk a little bit too much lately — since almost any amount is too much — and wondering if it’s finally time to give him complete control of the sun. First of all, why not? Pretty soon he’ll own everything anyway. But I’m not entirely joking. One of the more outlandish proposed solutions to climate change is to install orbiting fleets of mirrored satellites that can deflect sunlight, so cooling the planet. There’s a fancy name for this: solar geoengineering. At the rate things are heating up on Earth, threatening to fry us alive sooner than later, this scheme could supposedly reverse or slow the damage we’ve done.

There are many of things wrong with this idea, but Musk has actually promoted it: “A large solar-powered AI satellite constellation would be able to prevent global warming by making tiny adjustments in how much solar energy reached Earth” he wrote on X last November.

Musk doesn’t just control SpaceX, but also owns its subsidiary Starlink, the world’s largest satellite company, which boasts constellations of 10,000 small satellites and counting. As Salon has reported before, these things can appear extremely bright in the night sky, vexing astronomers and essentially censoring the stars. Musk has also been accused of weaponizing Starlink in war zones, including Ukraine. But if any company can do something as weird as blocking the sun’s rays to chill our planet, like a B-list Marvel villain, Starlink and SpaceX may be the only ones with the infrastructure to do it.

If you are unfamiliar with Troy, he is one of the most left leaning mainstream writers out there. But he doed take climate change, correctly, seriously unlike much of society. So I was frowning over that piece.
