Tehran says US 'failed to gain the trust' of Iran negotiators in Pakistan

Source: Politico (EU)

The U.S. “failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation” in the failed peace talks in Pakistan, Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday.

In a statement on X, Ghalibaf said that his country had gone into the talks “with the necessary good faith and will” and had proposed “forward-looking initiatives.” But he added that “due to the experiences of the two previous wars, we have no trust in the opposing side.”

“The opposing side ultimately failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation in this round of negotiations,” Ghalibaf said.

Marathon talks between Washington and Tehran in Islamabad hit a dead-end late Saturday, with U.S. Vice President JD Vance saying Iran had “chosen not to accept our terms.”

and who do we send? A goofy VP, a real estate guy, and a venture capitalist.

After centuries of striving for excellence we are now near the bottom of the barrel.

Thanks a lot MAGA.

your assets, and have a son-in-law negotiating who is making financial deals with your enemy. That's what JD calls "good faith!"
