SAHIL KAPUR 2:54 PM EST, TUESDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2013

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) told reporters Tuesday that he will not honor any holds placed on the nomination of Chuck Hagel for secretary of defense.

He said he intends to hold a vote this week if Hagel is cleared by the Armed Serices Committee.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) would not commit to filibuster Hagel's confirmation but signaled that Republicans might do so.

"I wouldn't be surprised if we do have a cloture vote on the Hagel nomination," McConnell told reporters.

Graham Vows To ‘Fight Back’ Against Reid For Disregarding His Hold On Hagel

SAHIL KAPUR 11:48 PM EST, TUESDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2013

Sen. Linsdey Graham (R-SC) said Tuesday night that he was very disappointed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) threat not to honor his "hold" on the confirmation of Chuck Hagel for secretary of defense.

"I'm very disappointed," Graham told a small group of reporters after the president's State of the Union speech. "I'm very upset about it and I'm going to fight back." Graham said he will demand a cloture vote and hopes all Republicans will filibuster Hagel's nomination until the Obama administration provides the answers he wants.

"It gives double-standard a bad name. They really did go hard after [President] Bush when he -- his interrogation policies," Graham said. "They held up [John] Bolton for information. They're trying to jam Hagel through. We need more information about where he got his money and what speeches he gave."

"Chuck Hagel's a good man but they're stonewalling us on Benghazi."

You screwed the entire nation by wimping out on filibuster reform. Now you're trying to show you're tough again?

the right/powers of freely evaluating and deciding independently - or - you're not a pawn and that actually is a free, independent, rational evaluation you just delivered, not just opinion, in which case I am told that you have a right to it, but that right does not require that I, or anyone else respect that which, apparently, is not capable of respecting differences on this and/or other matters and surely you wouldn't oppose reaping what you sow, unless you're claiming somekind of PRIVILEGE that I was allowed no choice in the divine act of deigning to bestow that on you. Therefore, the result of the - or - above is, hence, a stalemate of disrespect, which is what we have going on now without filibuster reform, in the status quo, so perhaps you'll pardon me if I observe that you are the same thing as that which you CLAIM oppose, which possibility places your squarely in the fascist class.

that necessarily make that the best thing to do?

Is there something wrong with me pointing that out? If there is, you should seriously do some self-evaluation of your possible pawn-ness. Get a mirror and ask some honest questions about how propaganda works.

This "conversation" began with a question; you have been disrespectful every step of the way AND you are making claims about your criteria for respect. Pretty contradictory of you. Is it surprise that your projections are not very convincing since you contradict them yourself. Why doesn't that matter to you?

Why would you even bother and yet be so completely self-defeating, unless being self-defeating is your actual objective.

1) No, you said no such thing.
2) Of course not.
3) Absolutely not.
4) I'd love to discuss that with you offline.
5) It matters.
6) That is a matter of opinion.

Nice chatting with you, patrice. I'm trying to make new friends here - I'm sorry for my part in this ugly incident.

Spineless Harry will fold on this any minute now because he's too busy feathering his own nest to be bothered with actually doing the people's business.
