Source: BBC News

Several US and Afghan soldiers have been shot dead by a gunman wearing Afghan uniform, the international military force Isaf says.

Several others were wounded in the attack at a remote base in the eastern Afghan province of Wardak.

Officials told the BBC the attacker was either a member of the local police or an insurgent posing as one.

Who apparently have been killing the wrong people.

That is supposed to start today. On CBS News last night, their reporter said he had called the US military HQ there to ask if they wree complying with Karzai's demand, and they hung up on him--twice.

7. I'm wondering if this isn't some sort of retaliation or "push" to get us out

of that area, then. I've read that it's special forces that were killed. If this is the way it's going to be, we'd better start getting damned good and FAST at the logistics of packing up and leaving. I think the military ought to have commanders or experts who specialize in nothing but getting the fuck out, quickly and safely, from any engagement. The same guys who command the combat forces shouldn't also be the guys who have to figure out when to stop fighting and pack up to go.

I guess today's attacker was punctuating that point.

The Haqqani Network strikes again.

We just need to leave, bring ALL of our troops and "advisers" back now, and blow the buildings on the way out.

Vietnam. Have you heard any U.S. General wanting to get out, even in Vietnam. And what do you think will happen if the U.S. attacks Syria,Iran and North Korea? You will be fighting Wars for a long time. Russia learnt their lesson. And what is the difference from trying to force your ideology on people than the USSR was trying to do. The same goes for religious beliefs. Christians trying to force their religion on people and Muslims trying to force their religion. Wars will be endless because everybody believes their ideology is superior.
