Adam Kokesh Calls Off Armed March On D.C. In Favor Of 50 State March For "Orderly Dissolution Of The Federal Government"
57 minutes ago TIMOTHY JOHNSON
Adam Kokesh is cancelling his planned July 4 armed march on Washington, D.C., and instead calling for a march on all 50 state capitols with the goal of overthrowing the federal government.
Kokesh, a former host for Russian state-sponsored RT television who now hosts an internet radio show, told conspiracy theorist radio host Pete Santilli that it was time to "escalate our tactics" before cancelling the Washington march and urging supporters to march on their state capitol instead.
On May 28, Santilli, a promoter of conspiracy theories about the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks who recently drew scrutiny from the Secret Service over vicious comments made about Hillary Clinton, aired an interview where Kokesh read from a press release and provided other details about the expansion of his plans.
Previously, Kokesh launched a Facebook page to organize his armed march on Washington, an event he hoped would draw at least 1,000 attendees. The page currently lists more than 5,000 attendees.

This too is what happens when one listens to those conspiracy theories bandied about in the media.

But Kokesh accomplished his REAL mission successfully, which was to whore a few headlines and get his name out...

(12,977 posts)As anybody who's ever put on a birthday part for five year olds knows, it's a lot easier to get them whipped up than to calm them down again. And I suspect Kokesh may have whipped up a lot of mental five year olds with the promise of DC fun and games who won't find it nearly as exciting to march on Harrisburg or Dover or Springfield or Frankfort or Augusta or Jefferson City or Carson City or Trenton or Bismarck or Salem or Pierre or Montpelier.

I blame Fox and hate propaganda--they have really fanned the flames and incited a lot of trouble. I hope this goes down peacefully.

Philly police bust libertarian activist Adam Kokesh during smoke down pot rally
Libertarian activist and Iraq veteran Adam Kokesh was arrested Saturday at a smoke down prohibition marijuana rally in Philadelphia after police moved in on the crowd at 4:20 p.m. in an apparent show of force.
In Philadelphia, marijuana possession under 30 grams is punishable by a small fine and the offense is classified similarly to a parking ticket. Since decriminalization went through, activists have taken to staging open-smoking events at Independence National Historical Park, and police have mostly just ignored them.
Sundays event was different, however. As police milled ever-closer to the roughly 60 to 75 demonstrators present at the national park, a man with access to the public announcement system began counting down to 4:20, urging the crowd to light that shit in direct disobedience to signs police placed around the area insisting that nobody would be allowed to smoke marijuana. Fuck the law, smoke it anyway! Kokesh shouted into the microphone. Bring it in! Hey, everybody show some love. Make it difficult for the police here.
A total of five people were arrested during the event. Two of them Kokesh and Panic Hour comedy writer N.A. Poe remain in the Philadelphia jail pending a hearing set for later this week, according to supporters. Its not clear what the official charges are, but the incident happened on federal land, meaning Kokesh and Poe could face charges of assaulting a federal officer, a crime that carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

It didnt take long for conspiracy host Alex Jones to claim that Kokesh was intentionally targeted by federal officers due to his plans for a July 4 gun rally in Washington, D.C., which bans anyone except law enforcement officers from carrying a firearm in the city. His former group, Iraq Veterans Against the War, disowned Kokeshs plan in a statement earlier in May, warning that the march may endanger participants.

When Kokesh first announced the "armed march on DC", Bubba, Cletus, Jeb and all the bagger boys were ecstatic. "What a swell idea!" Thousands of "armed patriots"! It'll be arrrrsome!
Now that Kokesh has backed down, he's being branded by the Freebillies as an "Obama plant" and Russian agent provocateur!
I love watching the RW worms turning!
