Source: ABC news

WASHINGTON — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin criticized the Obama administration’s decision to supply weapons to the rebels in the civil war in Syria today, arguing that the U.S. should “Let Allah sort it out” until there is a stronger leader in the White House.

It is sad when people lose their grip on reality and start saying bizarre things. Such people deserve our help, support, and even pity. We should not be enabling their delusions by inviting them to speak on TV. We should not be ridiculing them after they do so.

What's even worse is that our culture rewards delusional mental illness by promoting it with media and even political positions. It is so bad that we actually allow delusional thinking to influence public policy.

I don't usually get to involved in religious disputations, but the holy trinity did not come out of the bible. You can look at this info if you want to, it is long and involved, but the bible does not talk about the father, the son, and the holy ghost.

See here - http://www.ucg.org/bible-study-aid/god-trinity/?s=2&gclid=CJXq7LPz5rcCFRBgMgodNBMApw

My Dad who was a Presbyterian minister talked about all paths to god. Who is the most important in almost all religions unless you believe in gods. I Christianity the way to god is via Jesus who was "a" son of god, as we all are. Jesus was just an example of how to get to god.

through the person and work of Jesus Christ. It is this God the majority of Christians worship and the primary reason they worship Him. If the God of the Muslim and Jew (or any other monotheism) is not the God who died for man on the cross at Golgatha in the Person of Jesus Christ, it is not the God of the Christian.

Christians believe a lot of things that are not Christian. The right wing Christians always fall back on the old testament or on the last book of the new testament. They are sorely mistaken. Like Christians are on most issues that are Christian. They cherry pick the bible.
In real Christianity, I would be considered a son of God as you would also. And the holy spirit infused by the example of Jesus and his teachings. The bible does not talk about a triune. The holy spirit is talked about widely but as a blessing and infusion of and from God.

My exposure is through my Dad who was a Presbyterian minister. I suspect that God is known via Jesus Christ and thus people are Christians. I would say the God Christians worship and the Jewish people worship are one and the same. They just not accept Jesus as the messiah for whatever reason. Muslims recognize Jesus as a great prophet, and excuse this long copy from Wikipedia, but here it is.

Isa ( Arabic: عيسى, Transliteration: ʿĪsā ), known as Jesus in the New Testament, is considered to be a Messenger of God and the Masih (Messiah) in Islam[1] who was sent to guide the Children of Israel (banī isrā'īl) with a new scripture, the Injīl or Gospel.[2] The belief in Jesus (and all other messengers of God) is required in Islam. The Quran mentions Jesus by name twenty-five times, while it only mentions Muhammad by name four times as Muhammad and once as Ahmad; making it a total of five times.[3][4] It states that Jesus was born to Mary (Arabic: Maryam) as the result of virginal conception, a miraculous event which occurred by the decree of God (Arabic: Allah). To aid in his ministry to the Jewish people, Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles (such as healing the blind, bringing dead people back to life, etc.), all by the permission of God rather than of his own power. According to the Quran, Jesus, although appearing to have been crucified, was not killed by crucifixion or by any other means, instead, "God raised him unto Himself". Like all prophets in Islam, Jesus is considered a Muslim (i.e., one who submits to the will of God), as he preached that his followers should adopt the "straight path" as commanded by God. Islam rejects the Trinitarian Christian view that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God, that he was ever crucified or resurrected, or that he ever atoned for the sins of mankind. The Quran says that Jesus himself never claimed any of these things, and it furthermore indicates that Jesus will deny having ever claimed divinity at the Last Judgment, and God will vindicate him.[5] The Quran emphasizes that Jesus was a mortal human being who, like all other prophets, had been divinely chosen to spread God's message. Islamic texts forbid the association of partners with God (shirk), emphasizing a strict notion of monotheism (tawhīd).
Numerous titles are given to Jesus in the Quran and in Islamic literature, the most common being al-Masīḥ ("the Messiah&quot . Jesus is also, at times, called "Seal of the Israelite Prophets", because, in general Muslim belief, Jesus was the last prophet sent by God to guide the Children of Israel. Jesus is seen in Islam as a precursor to Muhammad, and is believed by Muslims to have foretold the latter's coming.[6][7]
Muslims believe that Jesus will return to earth near the Day of Judgment to restore justice and to defeat Masih ad-Dajjal ("the false messiah", also known as the Antichrist).[6][8]

So, I think it would take some strong evidence to deny that God is God, in any religion. Christians don't really worship Jesus, they worship God and Jesus is the tool that is used for God to be made know to them, and for a moral living code to be layed down.

My Dad, after years of studying, he had a degree in theology and majors in German, Greek and Hebrew, so he could study all this religious teaching from the original texts, with out as much editing as has been done up to the point of the bible being translated to English. Dad also believed in the books that were not included in the Christian bible. They were thrown out by mortal men, because they did not fit the mold those old men wanted. Any way, what I am getting to, is Dad believed in any path to God. After all, what is religion all about if not God. It is not about Jesus or Mohammad or any other prophet. So that is the way I see it. The trinity is not mentioned in the bible other than God is mentioned, Jesus is mentioned and the Holy Spirit(Ghost) is mentioned, but not as a triumvirate. That was added later by man, several hundred years after the death of Jesus.

The belief in the Trinity goes back to the beginning of Christianity. That the belief existed is documented in the Apostle's Creed C.E. 381.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell.On the third day He rose again from the dead.He ascended into heavenand sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

Note that catholic is not capitalized and refers to the collection of all Christian denominations.

the God of Hebrews is the one who was there, and the Christians branched out without dropping him, and the Muslims branched out without dropping him - they are all Abrahamic religions. Christians have the same God as Jews but differ on who the Messiah is and the same one as Muslims but they don't find Mohamed to be anybody important.

Towards the end they showed a bunch of Syria soldier from various sects hold up in a building. The soldiers were saying how they were killing rebels from different arab countries and just as they were saying this, the narrator came in and said in a dismissive way that "they(soldiers) only watch state news channel and they believe the rebels are made up of foreigners". Ofc the narrator knows much more about the people the soldiers are killing that the soldiers themselves

Also in a different part, they showed the Syria rebels planning an attack against a Syria army post and all of a sudden the Syria army started shelling the city where they were hatching the plan. The narrator chimed in a again to say that they rebels were afraid that the Syrian army are "targeting" them. Mind you, this is a touch where they launch their attacks from.

They tried so hard to make it a 50/50 problem. Only god knows what will happen if someone gave that same crew the task of doing a WW II documentary.

From my point of view, I see Sarah Palin spelling out exactly what we all know to be true: elect a Republican as President, and that asshole is going to start a war.

How do we think a senseless khaki election is going to go down in 2016, when Republicans are still fighting to lower the caloric intake of Wal-Mart employees so that the current senseless war can still be fought? I don't give American voters one ounce of credit for being informed or for making wise choices, but they've run out of luxuries to sacrifice for Republican lies, and anyone with a broken loved-one (now millions of voters) will never forget the costs.
