Mitch McConnell Urged By Tea Party To Step Aside In 2014

Source: Huffington Post

A tea party-affiliated group is urging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to bow out of his reelection bid next year against Democratic rival Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, citing concerns with the longtime senator's electability.

Matt Hoskins, the Senate Conservatives Fund's executive director, told the Washington Post Tuesday that McConnell isn't a strong enough candidate to face off against Grimes and that it may be time for him to "pass the torch."

“Mitch McConnell is now the least electable Republican senator running for reelection in 2014,” Hoskins said. "He could lose this race and cost Republicans the majority. He needs to consider whether it might be time to hang it up.”

The Senate Conservatives Fund is a political action committee launched by former Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) prior to the 2010 elections.

Also, who the hell do the TeaLoons think will replace Yertle on the ticket? One of thier own (who will lose even WORSE to Grimes in the General)???

Mitch ain't going NOWHERE. DeMint doesn't have brains or the pull (or the position anymore) to force him off the ticket. Mitch knows full-well that the TeaParty was created to help ESTABLSIHMENT REPUBLICANS maintain Power so they can better aid and abet the Corporations that keep fucking over the very people who make up the TeaParty Movement, and if the TeaParty hasn't figured that out yet, theyre dumber than we all thought.

It means NOTHING that DeMint is likely correct, and Mitch stands a good chance to lose that seat. If Grimes is a competent candidate in the least, that Senate Seat will have a Democrat sitting in it in 18 months.

A wind-up Bachmann? Complete with springs sproinging out of her head? That's what most of the tea party goofs are, and it seems like the country is getting a bit sick of them. Hopefully they will finish drowning the Republicans in a bathtub so we can get a real political party.

Call me a skeptic if you will, but we need 16 seats to win the House back--not including BatS*** Bachamnns seat. I'm led to believe we can win that since she won her district by 1000-2000 votes. So 16 is our magic number.
