July 25, 2013 by Cheryl Carpenter Klimek Focusing on pre-emptive measures for the 2016 presidential race, a newly-formed group has released its first anti-Hillary Clinton video.
The Stop Hillary PAC was formed to save America from the destructive far-left, liberal cancer created by Bill and Hillary Clinton thats trying to corrupt America, according to their website.
If this video doesnt scare you and make you fear for the future direction of our county I dont know what will, Colorado Republican state Sen. Ted Harvey, the PACs co-founder, said in a mass email.

(30,251 posts)It doesn't matter that since her days in AR the Right has been using that label without finding one single woman who claimed to have had a lesbian relationship with her. One would think that if someone is as famous as Hillary and had engaged in lesbian relationships at any point in her lifetime, there would be some woman who would claim to have been her lover. They have never found anything other than what's in their fertile and vile imagination.
They call any tough, independent and liberal woman "lesbian" as an insult. These women are not the shy, retiring type. If they were indeed lesbians they would have no problem proclaiming so to the world. I've seen Hillary up close many times, I have no doubt that she loves Bill. He may be a scoundrel, but she loves the rascal. There have been times where I have wished that she didn't love him and kicked him to the curve, but I respect her choice. Sometimes it's harder to stay in a relationship and work at it than quit and leave.

(34,658 posts)"Well behaved women seldom make history".
Hillary is well behaved in enough ways to be very successful, yet she is surely a history making woman who outshines many men of her own time. And they are oh so jealous of her. Both men and women are jealous of her intelligence and competence. And the fact that she didn't let her husbands very public affair break her. She's strong.
Beacool
(30,251 posts)It takes strength and character to have put up with the crap that has been thrown at her since she became first lady of AR up to now. I think that some men fear her, for years they didn't know what to make of her. It's really not that complicated. She's a child of the 60s who due to her upbringing and religious beliefs (Methodist) feels a duty to serve. She quite often says this quote: To those whom much is given, much is expected. It's a biblical quote that Kennedy was fond of using too (To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked. Luke 12:35-48).

(7,318 posts)then us liberal Dems wouldn't need to find someone like Elizabeth Warren to run for President in 2016.
big_dog
(4,144 posts)she should have nough experience in the Senate by then to be on the Veep list
JimDandy
(7,318 posts)than Obama did when he ran for President. That's plenty enough experience for a President. No Veep list for her, no indeed.

A lot of trolls will be kicked to the curb during that election year. They will go crazy if it looks like a democrat will win and they will show themselves.

(62,276 posts)It'll be fucking awesome, because, frankly, she was left of Obama (and will probably be even more left as time goes on, time tends to do that to people) and I defended her then (with the likes of Paul Krugman).
It'll be fun for me.
Oh, and the drama if she gets nominated? Holy shit it'll be insane, beyond anything seen before on DU (been here since 2001, joined in early 2002). I hope it happens just for the lulz that will be had (and you can quote me on this because frankly I don't think US politics can get any worse, bookmark it, I stand by this statement; the lulz are the only reason to care).
edit: to clarify, there's no way I'm nominating her to win, no way in hell. I voted for Edwards last time (though he failed hard in that regard, at least his anti-poverty message was distinct). No way I vote for established nominations this time around.

(6,440 posts)All the things they listed are wingnut obsessions that the average voter either doesn't give a shit about or has never even heard of. I like to think I'm fairly well-informed, but I have to confess that "Travelgate" and "Rose Law Firm" meant nothing to me. I'm guessing that they produce some sort of Pavlovian response in tabaggers, though. I imagine the ones that can read will start barking every time one of these words or phrases flashes up on the screen.

(23,503 posts)How odd that they think so. More likely, they just say so for the benefit of mobilizing the yahoos.

(175 posts)And they really do think she is far left. It's evident on any right wing blog/forum.

(20,226 posts)making it easier to run a Democrat who is leftwing or at least a liberal - Calling everyone even slightly to the left of Benigno Mussolini a Socialist or even a Communist - they are creating their own version of Aesop's fable of the "Boy who cried wolf." It probably won't result in a Socialist or Communist getting to the White House - but it might make a liberal or a progressive more electable after years of hearing center-right neoliberals being called Socialist or Communist.
