Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton To Meet For Breakfast Tuesday

Source: Huffington Post

Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet for breakfast Tuesday morning.

Biden's office confirmed to Politico that the two would meet at the Naval Observatory.

Their meeting will come less than 24 hours after Clinton met with President Barack Obama for a private lunch in the White House. A White House spokesman said it was "largely friendship that's on the agenda" at the private meeting on Monday.

No way she'd ask Biden to drop out this early, he'd be insulted. She saw the MSM response to her visit with Obama and is seeing how they take her visit with Biden, imo.

We need to take back control of our party from the Right of Center neoliberals.
Other names include 3 Way, DLC and DINO. Does not include Liberal or Progressive.

Neoliberalism is a label for Economic liberalism, advocates of which support economic liberalization, free trade and open markets, privatization, deregulation, and decreasing the size of the public sector while increasing the role of the private sector in modern society.

Sounds a whole lot like Republican to me.

Might want to get busy on finding those ... unless you want to spend the 4-8 years after Obama complaining about President Hillary Clinton.

More than likely the winning candidate will be someone no one has heard of. You know Like Obama was. That worked really well for them last time. Someone without a track record to call them on, to campaign from the Left and govern from the Right.
Hillery's positions are too well known for her to win. If she runs, she will be an also ran again.
I don't know if you have noticed or not, but the Democratic party members do not control their party. The winner will be picked for us again.

If Hillary runs who is her best challenger and why?

If you use that approach, you will be right here complaining about President Clinton in a couple years.

Damn right I'll be miserable. And so will you when they finally pull back the curtain, clear the stage and expose the brick wall at the back.

And to the person who replied to you, I have already made that argument in the other thread. It is way too early to decide. In the last election I decided to back Obama about 19 months before the election as it was pretty apparent who the top three or so candidates were (I'd actually narrowed it down to Obama or Edwards and decided on Obama). As I also said, this time I may wait longer depending on what happens before tying myself to a candidate.

They used to have breakfast once a week when she was the SOS, he calls her his sister. So it's not unusual for them to meet for breakfast.

I remember Bush's last State of the Union. That morning Ted Kennedy had endorsed Obama. Who sat next to Hillary making her laugh? Biden, he's a good guy.

I like this pic of the two of them.

14. She looks pretty tired and likely this was just friendship, not planning anything.

I can't see her running in 2016 the way it would have to be done. Not as hard as Gore did in 2000, and Obama did in 2008 and 2012. It takes a very strong constitution and desire to do such things.

She deserves a place in history for her attempts to get universal health care and speaking up for the rights of women, gays and children. She had that bad fall and was hospitalized and it looks like it took some spunk out of her.

I don't think anyone since FDR won the presidency who had significant health problems. I didn't agree with her on a lot of things, but wish her well.

I can't see it happening. True, I've seen pro and con Hillary advertisement placements online. If DU is any measure of the vote, she is hated by the left more than she is by the right for her pragmatic social policies.

Hillary is pretty healthy. The incident where she had a concussion due to fainting is all in the past. Besides, the posted pic is old. Hillary looked nice and rested in the pic with Obama taken during their lunch.

A Rand Paul presidency would be the end of the USA, period, since he's fully in favor of ending the civil rights of hundreds of millions of Americans. I don't remember what Hillary's domestic policy plans for the USA were in 2008, but I know what a Libertarian would do.

Sadly, with their Koch millions, they are winning in many states under the GOP brand. They, like Ryan, are planning to get enough states red to amend the Constitution to repeal everything after the 10th Amendment through their control of state legislatures. This is a very hard period we're entering into right now.

Maybe I'm transferring my sense of being tired to her, so don't take my words the wrong way. She would be the next best thing to Obama for working to restore the rights of women in this country and the world.

I suppose we could say Biden looks old too, but he's been going strong for years now. But Obama was even more intense than Gore, who worked his heart out traveling the nation to explain his plan to better America. What a loss for the world that he did not get to serve.

I hope that Hillary, for her own sake, if nothing else, goes vegan like Bill. It's done wonders for him, despite his bout of cardiac problems and surgery. He did great on the campaign trail last year, despite his losing his voice.

Who knows, with a little assist, could be she will get ready to run in 2016?

Misogyny is on the rise, so I don't know if it can happen. It's past time, but we don't have much time left if 2014 goes like 2010. We know who will be POTUS if it does.

This is all overblown. As Bill Clinton said the other day (paraphrasing) we need to stop focusing on politics and get something done. I'd go one step further and changing focusing to obsessing.

Clinton has been out of the cabinet for about six months and came in for lunch with both Obama and Biden. I don't think a decision will be made this soon after she's left her post as SOS.

Also I firmly believe neither will run in the end. If and when that happens, we know who's supporters will be the most disappointed.
