Judge OKs trial for former Penn State officials in Sandusky scandal

Source: Reuters

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania | Tue Jul 30, 2013 3:13pm EDT

(Reuters) - There is enough evidence to try former Penn State officials, including ex-president Graham Spanier, for covering up the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal, a judge ruled on Tuesday.

After a two-day hearing, Judge Harrisburg District Judge William Wenner ruled that a criminal trial can be held for Spanier, 65, former athletic director Tim Curley, 59, and former senior vice president Gary Schultz, 63.

Sandusky, 69, a former assistant football coach, was convicted in June 2012 of 45 counts of sexual abuse involving 10 boys. He is serving a sentence of 30 to 60 years in a state prison.

In the PA system you can waive your PH, or you can challenge the prosecution to show why it should go forward.

They should get convicted of at least something for covering up such horrible crimes for ages like they did.
