A car matching the description of one driven by kidnapping suspect James DiMaggio has been found in Valley County.
The vehicle was found in a remote, mountainous area of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, according to Andrea Dearden, spokeswoman for the Ada County Sheriff's Office.
The vehicle is not easily accessible, Dearden said, and it may take several hours to get more information from the scene.
Investigators from local, state, and federal agencies are converging on the area. Teams are stationed at access points to monitor anyone entering or leaving the area, Dearden said.

Although the license plates were removed, the VIN number matched DiMaggio's car, San Diego Sheriff Bill Gore said Friday at a press conference.
He said horseback riders who were camping in the area say they saw DiMaggio and Hannah Anderson in the wilderness Wednesday. They did not realize who the pair was until they returned from the woods.
Both Anderson and DiMaggio appeared to be in good health, Gore said. They appear to be on foot.
The little boy in the picture is thought to be the body of the child at the scene in California. He was burned with the house where his mother was killed. Wonder if this is like the kidnapping in Utah years ago.

(53,661 posts)He killed the family dog during this crime, guess the dog. ittle boy and mother tried to stop him.
Father pleading with him to let her go per link below.
People urging her to run. but I doubt she's geting the news.
Not sure why she didn't run to people on horseback, could be that he threatened to kill them if she did.
She must be traumatized after seeing her family killed by this creep. That is the word used at the link. He'd known the family for twenty years.
Possibly he'd just raped or attempted to rape the girl. Maybe he was discovered and that's what set him off.
I don't know what is going on with men like this. Really, I think men need to talk to guys like this before this stuff happens.
Maybe they can't read the signs. It seems like the mother realized the man was planning something:

(16,926 posts)In May 2005, Kootenai County, Idaho authorities discovered the bodies of Brenda Groene, her boyfriend, and her 13-year-old son in the family home near Coeur d'Alene. Authorities also noted that Groene's two other children were missing: Shasta, 8, and Dylan, 9. After an intense search for the two children, Shasta was found alive with Duncan at a restaurant in Coeur d'Alene nearly seven weeks later, and Duncan was arrested in conjunction with her kidnapping. Dylan's remains were found days later in a remote area near St. Regis, Montana. Duncan was subsequently charged with murdering Dylan as well as the three victims at the Coeur d'Alene home.
