3 more sue Wis. police for illegal strip searches
Source: TMJ4 News
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A 15-year-old and two other black males are suing Milwaukee police over allegations that white officers conducted or oversaw illegal strip searches on them.
The plaintiffs say officers probed their rectal and genital areas under the pretense of looking for drugs, and that other officers watched without intervening. The plaintiffs join five other black men who filed similar lawsuits last month. Plaintiff's attorney Robin Shellow says another 15 to 25 lawsuits could be forthcoming.
The lawsuit on behalf of the 15-year-old says an officer forced him up against a gate, reached inside his underwear, squeezed his genitals and reached between his buttocks.

(9,645 posts)for when these violations occur?
with the recent articles about texas cops "probing" women by the side of the road i am wondering if this is something new the feds are pushing? or is it something that has been on going and we are now just hearing about it?
i am also concerned because the current admin just sued and won the right to strip search all inmates
i am just beyond disgusted but this is what happens i guess when we throw "probable cause out the window"

But back to the OP. That is disgusting. I saw pics of women being probed--can't recall where, though. TX or maybe NH.
Forget this "war on drugs." More damn trouble than it's worth.

(11,064 posts)"Assigned to District 5, Vagnini regularly pulled over drivers on a pretense of not wearing a seatbelt or of having darkly tinted windows and searched them without a legal reason, according to prosecutors.
"Vagnini conducted searches of men's anal and scrotal areas, often inserting his fingers into their rectums, according to the criminal complaint. Vagnini acknowledged performing one of the searches, and at least one suspect said Vagnini planted drugs on him."

He pled no contest and got 26 months.
The other three are on paid suspension pending trials on lesser charges.
