Actor Lee Thompson Young Dead at 29

Former Disney star Lee Thompson Young was found dead today in his apartment, a Los Angeles police official told ABC News. He was 29.
Police did not immediately disclose details or a cause of death.
Young most recently was featured on the show "Rizzoli & Isles."
He rose to fame as the star of the Disney show "The Famous Jett Jackson," which aired from 1998 to 2001. He went on to act in films including "Friday Night Lights" (as Chris Comer) and "Akeelah and the Bee."

Most recently Young played Barry Frost on Rizzoli & Isles.

(356 posts)He starred in The Famous Jett Jackson on the Disney Channel. As I recall he was the son of a small town sheriff (I want to say in NC) who led a double life as spy. Silly stuff, but entertaining.

(4,033 posts)an ABC show from a few years back. Me and 83 year old mother have been Rizolli & Isles fans from the day it started. We both really liked him and his character, a Homicide Detective who most always was given a barf bag when viewing a deceased individual or in the autopsy room.
It's a shame, recent news is showing his death as a self inflicted gunshot. Even sadder.
