FBI shooting: Father of Chechen man 'satisfied' with Ashton's pledge of a full investigation

The father of a Chechen man shot to death by the FBI in May said he was satisfied with the promises made by the Orlando-area's top prosecutor of a full investigation into the May shooting.
Abdulbaki Todashev's attorney Eric Ludin said Orange-Osceola State Attorney Jeff Ashton seemed moved by the father's entreaty after sharing information and personal photographs of his son during the meeting.
"We were very satisfied with our meeting today and very pleased because we have full confidence Mr. Ashton will do what he promises," Ludin said following the hourlong meeting at the Ninth Circuit State Attorney's office in downtown Orlando. "Mr. Ashton said that as a father of three he understands and appreciates what (the elder Todashev) is suffering through right now."
The 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev was being interrogated by federal agents inside his Orlando condo about his ties to Boston marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev when the FBI said he initiated a violent confrontation.

(2,805 posts)Remember, Anthony didn't report her 3 year old missing for 30 days. Her mom reported the kid missing after 30 days and said her daughter's car smelled like a dead body. Casey lied about having a nanny and about having a job and took the cops on wild goose chases around town to the made up nanny's apartment and her imaginary workplace. The body was eventually found four houses away. Jeff Ashton still lost the case.
I don't think he is going to be able to take on the FBI. Remember the FBI investigated 150 agent shootings over a 10 year period and found all of them justified, presumably, including this one. They aren't going to give in very easily. They probably have a sign in the office saying 9768 days without an unjustified shooting. You know how bosses hate when those counters have to be take back to 0 days, it messes with the insurance rates.
