The anti-Islamic pastor burns Korans every year on 9/11, inciting controversy and violence along the way. 'Why would you come to little Mulberry, that is peaceful and diverse?' one resident wonders
Residents of Mulberry, Fla., are fighting back after anti-Islamic pastor Dr. Terry Jones announced plans last month to burn 2,998 Korans in the town on Sept. 11.
Why would you come to little Mulberry, that is peaceful and diverse?" Suzanne Carter-Moore told WTSP. "We like it that way, and why come to our town and stir up the pot of hate and division?"
Since 2010, Jones has infamously burned Korans on Sept. 11 every year, one book for every victim of the 2001 terror attacks. After he burned Korans in 2010, riots broke out in Afghanistan

(276 posts)The best strategy is to ignore him - encourage your local paper to not publish anything about him. Also keep a close eye on his furniture "business" which he tries not to pay taxes on and requires church members to work in for free.
Ignore him - Worked for Gainesville his former hometown.

Every time this idiot does this, radicals in the Middle east go crazy and more innocent people get killed. Does the pastor believe God will one day say to him, "Great Going Terry!" "I'm glad you caused the deaths of innocent people in my name?"
It's the same question I'd ask the fundamentalist Islamists who kill innocent people and think little of it.

I don't doubt he does this to prove some kind of point that Islam is a religion of violence. Sadly all the focus goes to those who riot rather than the 1.5 billion who do not.
