Hecklers confront Ted Cruz at town hall meeting
Source: Washington Post
A Dallas town hall meeting designed to rally support for defunding President Obamas health-care law grew testy Tuesday night when Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) was interrupted three separate times by hecklers.
The conservative senator handled each interruption calmly, asking that he be allowed to finish his remarks. You have health care, we should too! chanted a pair protesters near the end of Cruzs remarks.
Cruz responded, Thank you for sharing your views. You know, part of the First Amendment is about respecting others. Pro-Cruz attendees then drowned the protesters out with chants of USA! USA!

(160,450 posts)They'd have to call for the men in white coats.
How dare those Cubans create health, healing for the masses, none of whom are even Republicans.

(111,951 posts)The thought that hit my brain was how the Cubans handle their medical care and the article came up in a quick search. It's amazing to think how the profit-drive American health care system with overpriced diagnostics, gadgets and medications actually can cause more harm than good to the patient.
Yes, Cruz would crap his pants if he were to read the article.

(15,724 posts)When U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, a freshman from Texas, released his Canadian birth certificate over the weekend, it became clear the great Cuban-American hope of the tea party for 2016 is a Canadian citizen.
And, of course, he is also an American citizen, because he was born to an American citizen in Canada.
Quite without realizing it, apparently, the location of Cruz's birth automatically made him a citizen of our socialist (in healthcare, at least) neighbor to the north. Did his mother receive excellent free medical care under Canadas single-payer healthcare system when her baby was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1970? Did little Ted, who moved back to the United States with his Cuban-born father and American-born mother when he was 4, get free vaccinations and pediatric care from his Canadian doctors?
Well probably never know.

(5,842 posts)Morons. They can't address the point of Cruz having tax payers paying for his health care (neither could he for that matter) so they break into a mindless chant
