President Barack Obama scolded Republicans for failing to carry out the core responsibilities of Congress, including passing a budget, in an interview with CNN that aired Friday.

Obama compared the legislative process to the series "Schoolhouse Rock," which produced an animated short film that explained how a bill becomes a law on Capitol Hill, to express his frustration with the slow pace of the legislature.

When the rest of us were having our understanding of civics augmented with these clever cartoons, what were the republicans doing?
Evidence shows they didn't learn civics in school and didn't even watch the cartoons -- what were they doing instead.

Schoolhouse Rock was very much a part of my childhood. "I'm just a Bill" was one of my favourites.

I would also suggest "Verb" because it requires DOING something, rather than just sitting around with their finger in their collective arses that the Congressional GOP does.

You know, the gotta look good for the electorate, kind of thing?

Basicly, the GOP's job is to keep Reagan's idea of a trickle down kind of economy going, and that it works fine, if you leave it alone. Or that, a market society can fix itself without government intervention.

Leaving the masses to fend for themselves in favor of treating the 1% like kings and queens. They ARE America's Royalty.

Personally, I believe we should give every one of them a gun and send them to the front lines to get shot at.

Our Veterans are doing that now and when they come home, they get fucked. It's happening right now. Watch the news.

They should not have to pay taxes for the rest of their lives and also while they are defending our country.

And the top 1% should pay more to help take care of the people (our vets) who are making their millions and billions of dollar incomes possible.
