As pressure builds on the police for not cracking the Narendra Dabholkar murder case, the city police have decided to send the CCTV footage to a London based laboratory for enhancing its image quality.
The footages are believed to have pictures of the murderers. The footage has been collected from two spots but the quality is poor, which prompted the police to try and have the images enhanced. The police also claim that images have been collected from 80 spots across the city including the Pimpri-Chinchwad area, which are being studied for clues.
Meanwhile, the Sanatan Sanstha held a press conference in Mumbai condemning the detention of one of their members and hit out at the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which holds the state home department, for shielding the accused.
Two days ago, Sandip Shinde, a Sanatan Sanstha activist was detained by the police from the organisation's ashram in Goa in connection with the murder.
