Suez Canal Authority says attack attempted on container ship

Source: Reuters

(Reuters) - A "terrorist" staged an unsuccessful attack on a container ship passing through the Suez Canal on Saturday, in an attempt to disrupt the flow of ships through the waterway, the head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Memish said on Saturday.

The Suez Canal is a key global shipping line.

Or so will the oil companies want us to believe. Therefore, they will raise prices.

Hell if a camel farts they see it as a reason to raise prices.

Sinking a big ship there, anyone's big ship, could block passage through the canal for weeks. The impact that kind of disruption could have on our military efforts (let alone World-wide commerce) should be self-evident.
