21. I didn't know him personally, but he came to a community watch meeting

in my neighborhood in about 2000 or 2001.
Shortly after that he quit the police department.
Someone told me that "wigged out" couldn't handle the stress of the job and became a truck driver.
He had a brother who worked for the department as well at that time.
I myself left the area in 2004.

11. The report I heard the shooter was a white man with a military style rifle

he fired about 20 rounds and was shot when he was reloading. The shooter is dead.

Now being reported on WV Metronews that the shooter was a former Wheeling police officer. No identity yet.

19. Wheeling Police, FBI and US Marshals holding press conference at 8pm.

The shooter was former Wheeling Police Thomas Piccard, he retired or resigned in 2000.
No motive known as of now. They are seaching his vehicle and residence. He had an assult type rifle and a handgun. Earlier reports said he was shot while reloading his rifle, good thing he didn't have a 100 round magazine. Not much information.
