(45,472 posts)As a furloughed federal employee, I'll tell you that it will take more than
9 hours notice to round everybody up and get them to the office in the morning!
We all expected to return Friday- and our Agency website says they don't know yet.

(10,000 posts)The buildings were shut down totally ( the climate control systems were put in some kind of stand-by mode) and the servers have to be rebooted. Depending on the agency, this alone will take the better part of a day.

(2,702 posts)The people who can't get voted any back pay for their missed work. The government contracting officer needs to contact the contractor contracting officer to okay these people to come back to work.

(2,596 posts)the government had to give the employees 24 hours notice before demanding that they come back to work! That would be Friday, not Thursday!
Anybody know anything different about it?
Thanks in advance!
