PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad is en route to Rush Limbaugh's Palm Beach home to assist the Palm Beach Police Department, WPBF 25 News has learned.

The nature of the emergency at 1495 N. Ocean Blvd. is not known at this time.

This information just came in to the WPBF newsroom moments ago.

Hawaii 5-0 episode, with Dennis Miller. He played a rabid right-wing radio host (real stretch for his acting, right?), who was ranting in the beginning of the show, about the Occupy protestors being clueless etc...Then he hits a "bomb" button on his console, one presumes to have it elicit an explosion sound, and "BOOM" his whole booth blew up and he died.

WPBF's Ari Hait reported from the scene that there were many emergency vehicles, adding that reporters were being kept far away from Limbaugh's home.

Hait also said a police spokesperson said at about 6:30 p.m. that an official statement was forthcoming, but as of 7:15 p.m. that statement had not come.

It's not known if Limbaugh is inside the home.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was called to Limbaugh's Palm Beach home to assist the Palm Beach Police Department after the well-known radio host received a package from Pennsylvania earlier in the day.

A multitude of emergency vehicles rushed to the 1400 block of 1400 N. Ocean Blvd. before 6 p.m.

Limbaugh has a scanning device at home, from where he does his radio show, and a package showed wires inside, so he called police.
The package came from Pennsylvania, and investigators there have interviewed the man who sent it, Hait reported. The man, whose identity was not released, said it was just a business opportunity and that he was sorry for causing the alarm.
