John Cornyn, Texas Senator, Says Iran Deal Is Obamacare Distraction

Source: Huffpo

It was predictable that GOP hawks like Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) wouldn't love the historic deal the Obama administration reached with Iran on Saturday night.

But Texas Senator John Cornyn had a unique, if completely bizarre, take on the agreement:

Amazing what WH will do to distract attention from O-care

My maternal grandmother was born in TX towards the end of the 19th century.

Just because it's eedjits who get M$M attention and GOP wingnuts have gerrymandered districts to put eejdits in office doesn't mean that we should tar ALL our TX brothers and sisters with the same brush. The same comment holds true for all of our so-called "red" states.

Either we are one nation or we are not. It's as simple as that. At least one very bloody war was fought to maintain the dream of that nation. Let us not allow those who seek actively to divide that nation succeed.

I'm not kidding when I say that. Intellectuals are viewed with suspicion and condemnation while idiocy is celebrated. As someone (I forget who) remarked once in the media about Palin, someone has to represent the morons and who better?

Has a lot to do with the The Dunning–Kruger effect. Their stupidity robs them of the critical thinking skills required to realize how stupid they are.

Nov 2013

.... and this has what to do with the A.C.A.?

http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/24/world/meast/iran-nuclear-deal/

Geneva, Switzerland (CNN) -- The diplomatic gridlock between Iran and the West seemed immovable for decades. But on Sunday, diplomats made history when Iran and six world powers came together on an agreement over Iran's nuclear program.
The deal dials back Iran's ability to work toward a nuclear weapon and at the same time loosens the choke hold of international sanctions on Iran's economy.
The two sides now have six months to find out how historic the breakthrough really is. That's the duration of the preliminary agreement hammered out in Geneva, Switzerland, by Iran and the P5+1 -- the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany.
The foreign policy chiefs from the nations making up the group traveled to Geneva from the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany on Saturday to pound out the last key points of the deal

I'm sure Obama encouraged and supported an agreement on the Iranian nuclear weapons program just to divert attention from the challenges of implementing Obamacare, the biggest change and improvement in our health insurance program (would still prefer single-payer) perhaps forever.

After all the years that W couldn't get an agreement, the U.S., along with other major international players, have secured an initial agreement on the Iranian nuclear program. This wasn't a bilateral US - Iran agreement although without the U.S. it is doubtful the agreement would have materialized.

Once again the Rs forget what has long been tradition in our country - politics stops at the shores. It hasn't been universal - the Vietnam and Iraq wars good examples. But in general there has been consensus that our national security interests are best served when our foreign policy isn't the subject of internal political dissent.

That sums it up perfectly. If the people of this country select a President that you don't like (twice), then just abandon the Constitution, make up your own laws, and constantly include in your lunatic rants the phrase "the will of the American people" even though you don't have a clue as to what the American people are actually saying.
