Michele Bachmann: Obama 'Has Rewritten The Constitution For Himself'
Source: HUFFPOST
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) accused President Barack Obama of rewriting the Constitution during a Tuesday appearance on Fox News.
Bachmann's accusation came amid criticism of the Affordable Care Act, which she's slammed in the past.
He has rewritten the Constitution for himself as a part of his effort to fundamentally transform the United States of America, Bachmann said Tuesday.
Bachmann called the recently announced delay of online enrollment for small businesses "political management."
What are these delays about, what do they have in common? They all put off the very negative effects of Obamacare until the next election. Thats what this is all about," Bachmann said. "This is all political management. But we believe the constitution has to be respected."

(14,400 posts)I think most of them know it's garbage but the core of true believer nutjobs like Bachmann, Gohmert, and Farenthold are quite possibly dumb enough to actually believe the bullshit they peddle.
Remember Bachmann, Gohmert and Steve King trying to convince the Egyptians, in Egypt no less, that given just a bit of time and some oversight by the mighty Jaysus, they may be able to overcome adversity to become an actual civilized place.

(3,521 posts)the ACA was passed by the house-check; passed by the senate-check; signed by the president into law-check. Sounds like the constitution as originally written to me.

(769 posts)Even represent Minnesota at all. My friend told me that he keep hearing a lot of people in Michele's district, especially St. Cloud and Elk River, they are regretting for elect her when she gerrymandered herself to that district. If she never gerrymandered, she would had voted out in 2012.
This woman is fucking idiot and fucking way too inept to be politician.

(12,530 posts)When you make a serious accusation like this, you need to be prepared to back it up. Bachmann isn't prepared to tie her shoe, much less point out the part of the Constitution the President has rewritten. No cookie for this idiot.

(15,185 posts)that one of the biggest proponents of an amendment to the Constitution to ban gay marriage is accusing the President of "rewriting the Constitution"?
She's a vile human being. She's nastier than Palin, I think, and much more ambitious and tenacious. I have a feeling that even after she's out of office after this term she'll find a way back into politics - or work as a lobbyist for some "Christian" organization. Her appeal is based on being a "good Christian", protecting "our way of life". The reality is, that she's captured the minds of a bunch of wealthy whites that have now "found Jesus" attending mega-churches, who escaped the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area. She thrives on homophobia, bigotry and bullying (read the article in MotherJones about gay bullying in her district's school - it's shocking and reveals a lot about the mentality of her district). Her and Santorum can go start another party together.
