(Ed Markey's challenger) Gabriel Gomez apologizes for use of ‘Klan’

Source: Boston Globe

Former Republican US Senate nominee Gabriel E. Gomez apologized Monday after lashing out at two conservative activists and likening them to members of the Ku Klux Klan.

“Over the weekend, I regrettably used inappropriate language to share my disagreement with some with whom I disagree on specific social and policy-related issues,” he wrote. “...I failed to live up to the standard of discourse every leader should strive for.”

Gomez posted the apology Monday afternoon, after his digital screed against two conservative activists caused a firestorm on social media.

“(T)he level of ignorance and intolerance exhibited by them and their small ‘Klan’ are an embarrassment to our civil society. Merry Christmas,” he wrote on Facebook over the weekend.

Well, given the way Jindal, Palin, Cruz, and other major Republicans are apologizing for Duck Dynasty, Gomez got the Martin Bashir treatment for telling a hard truth.

He'd be right at home in places that love the choice wars, though.

be the person defeated by Senator Sheehan. His claiming not to have written it - after defending it and then taking it down shows that he really was a "Scott Brown" type candidate.

He's got the quickie "No Action, But Pictures in the Dress Blues" military background (a real dilettante; he had more subspecialties than you could shake a stick at...), he doesn't like choice, he loves guns, and of course, he's got that "Paul Ryan" chiseled chin that the GOP fellers and ladies just seem to think is dreamy.

I think JS could wipe the floor with either one of 'em. Unlike those two clowns, she's FROM NH and actually understands the issues!
