Stenberg (R-Ne) would raise retirement age (running for US Senate)

LINCOLN, Neb. - For all those aged 55 or older, Republican Don Stenberg would not change either Social Security or Medicare.
But, for everyone younger, Stenberg proposes raising the retirement age and privatizing parts of both federal programs, which provide retirement and health benefits to the nation's senior citizens
Stenberg unveiled these proposals, and other budget-cutting ideas, at a press conference Monday.
"To cut the federal budget, we will need a United States senator who is a doer, not a talker," said Stenberg.

And as jobs for the fifty somethings are drying up. Need fresh meat, no matter how much experience; well, I guess some will have to find a way to survive to collect SS and medicare at a later age; or we'll being seeing the early grave.
I swear, to me, these guys are a bunch of carnie show hucksters. Unfortunately, the american people are the mark.
