Just after AOL announced it would no longer be advertising on Rush Limbaugh's radio show, he opened Monday's edition with yet another apology to Sandra Fluke for calling her a slut & and prostitute this time blaming (who else?) the left. I don't expect morality intellectual honestly from the left,Limbaugh said. They've demonstrated over and over a willingness to do anything... It's what we fight against every day. In fighting them in this issue last week i became like them... Against my own instincts against, my own knowledge… I descended to their level when I used those two words to describe Sandra Fluke, I descended to their level and I feel very badly about that. Limbaugh -- who did sound sincere, by the way -- said he did not think those two words describe Fluke now or last week when he said it. He added there were no ulterior motives and no coded language in his apology posted online Saturday.

Sandra Fluke did not testify about her personal use of contraceptives. She testified about the need by many women for hormone treatment for medical conditions and how those are not covered because of the blanket prohibition of contraceptives by some religiously affiliated organizations.

How Limbaugh got from that testimony to accusing Ms Fluke of extensive sexual activity is a complete mystery to any sane person.

Limbaugh lied in his crude slanders of Ms Fluke, lied in his 'apology' to Ms Fluke and will lie about anything, and everything as long as he has a microphone to blather into.

Fluke was talking about a friend who needed birth control pills to manage polycystic ovarian syndrome, a medical condition that would grow unstably if not treated with something that works: birth control pills. As it were, the onerousness of the religious bureaucracy at Georgetown stymied this friend's attempt at obtaining the drug and the cysts grow to tennis ball size and she had to have an emergency surgery and have one of her ovaries removed. There was no indication that Fluke or her friend ever used birth control pills for sexual activity. For all we know, Fluke isn't even using the pill. And the friend is a lesbian who has no need for the pill for sexual activity.

Rush blew it completely out of proportion and he should pay big time for turning a testimony, on the bureaucracy of obtaining a particular drug just because of its primary association with sexual activity, into an opportunity to call someone some prurient terms (slut and prostitute) and insinuate that we'd all love to watch Sandra do her thang on video.

Boy, the thoughts that go through that guy's head at nights.

is Rush was asking for everything that he's getting. But losing advertisers is "a plot by the Obama administration to shut him up", as one of the Freepers is saying. The advertisers are violating Rush's first amendment rights or something. I don't remember it being written as "Congress shall pass no law respecting the establishment of religion, violating the freedom of speech, or of the press, the right of the people to peaceably assemble, or stopping people from paying money to have your voice broadcast all over the airwaves for three hours per day."
But I think what happened to the Occupy people was a tragedy. And what is happening to Rush? It's a tragedy it hasn't happened sooner.
