US Attorney General justifies terrorism kill policy

US Attorney General Eric Holder said American citizens living abroad could legally be targeted with "lethal force" if there was an imminent threat.
The Obama administration was criticised by civil liberties groups after it killed the US-born Islamist cleric Anwar al-Awlaki in September 2011.
But Mr Holder said the US was "at war", so court approval was not needed.

(13,062 posts)Holder's statements would seem to indicate so. What if several dozen Canadian civilians are collateral damage, the way that Yemeni civilians, or Pakistani citizens, are collateral damage in the drone killings there?

Unless the drone attack interrupted a hockey game or curling match. We could have a new war on our hands.
I should note that my research consisted of viewing the movies "Strange Brew" and "Canadian Bacon" at least one time each.

"Murder for profit" is now a U.S. corporate logo, and our U.S. corporate rulers are now pretty much the same thing as the U.S. government.
So much for the "Bill of Rights," the Constitution, democracy and everything this country once stood for--and what numerous brave souls have fought for, throughout our history.
