Another Rush Limbaugh gaffe? Holly writer stung by radio host's 'authorette' taunt
Source: Detroit Free Press
Tracie McMillans first inkling that she had become Rush Limbaughs latest target came in a tweet this afternoon.
I had planned on shutting off the Internet today, but some random person just tweeted me, saying he had heard about me from Rush Limbaugh, said McMillan, 35, of Holly, who spoke from San Francisco, the first stop on a book tour for her first book The American Way of Eating.
Today, Limbaugh referred to McMillan, among other things, as an authorette, overeducated and critized her as another young single white woman posing a threat to freedom.

(8,546 posts)It seems he must also hate the GOP because the more Rush demeans women the fewer women's votes the GOP gets.

(4,847 posts)because I don't think he sat on his arse blathering about the patriot act when it was passed. The only freedom they think they need is guns. Yeah, you can take away everything in the bill of rights and constitution as long as you let me keep my guns.
MM was right, the media in this country pushes fear 24/7. And, at the time, it was the difference between the us and the canadians who have guns.
didn't cambodia's little prince despise the intelligentsia? Didn't he murder those he thought were intelligent, even people with glasses? Now we have a bunch of fabricating, bigots preaching to their drones that education is bad, colleges are indoctrination centers. Well, I admit, I did take logic 101 in college. After that, it was kind of hard to preach that limbaugh bullshite to me.

(57,936 posts)All that soft flesh that he has accumulated on his body? Do you suppose it makes him feel like a really sensuous, curvy kinda' guy?
I mean, a normal person might find that much surplus fatty tissue to be repulsive, but does Rush??? Maybe not.
I wonder what kind of relationship he has with his body.
Watch his videos some time. Watch his hands, how they wander around his corpulent figure. See how he gently moves them across his chest, swaying as if to convey a message of "I'm here. Touch me."?
Notice how he kind of wiggles his voluptuous hips around on his seat. Hmmmm! I had never put those twos and twos together before with regard to him. And then all the sex-chatter, like a twittering teenaged nymph.
I hope I'm not grossing people out with this post. The images are pretty frightening at times. But, it's just my opinion. I'm entitled to free speech, am I not?
And, I add, on edit, just in case you missed it, I'm JUST JOKING. OK. JUST JOKING.

Rush considers that over-educated? What, in his mind, is an acceptable amount of education? A high school diploma? An Associates Degree? Maybe two semesters and one summer, (the amount of time Rush spent at Southeast Missouri State University)? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rush_Limbaugh#Education_and_Vietnam_draft
What the hell does "over-educated" even mean? Is it like being too healthy, too rich, too virtuous, too successful? Education is a good thing. You can't have too much of it.

Yes! She is definitely a threat to freedom...freedom of hatred, freedom of bigotry, freedom of greed.

(70,725 posts)LIMBOsevic floundering for a topic, one hour and counting
He has been phony raving against the "assault on freedom" on the topic of "food justice." Yes, flailing to tie it into the "war on women" that, he says, the Rethug party is accused of waging.
It's not unusual for him to go for an hour and a half without calls. But this has been numbing. (I'm recovering from something, so it was a matter of poison chasing poison to cure it.)
The few of us (me) whose antennae sensed danger from Day 1 that he went national, when no other Dems/Libs were aware of him, we know when he is in his self-pity mode, with the gurgle of restrained weeping behind the false bravado. Like when he was being investigated for his drug thing and he blubbered, "LET them frog march me" or when he blubbered, "I'm DEAF!1"
He hasn't gone to that level, but the self-pity is there. He is now 20 minutes into the second hour and made a reference to playing sound bytes of "the many times" he has gotten in trouble offending.

(5,043 posts)you have a stronger constitution than I. I was trapped in the car last Wednesday with a Limbaugh fan and we listened to about 30 minutes of his show (actually the 30 minutes where he first discussed Ms. Fluke) and I finally had to insist we change the station.
My associate was actually embarassed, I think.
Anyway, 30 minutes every 10 years or so is my upper limit. I can't imagine sitting through 3 hours of that crap.

That would probably be why Rush needed to slam it--wouldn't want the sheeple to get any ideas, you know!

He's their conservative leader, but none of them will claim him. LOL. Says a lot doesn't it?
