(37,461 posts)3. House OKs $1.1 T spending bill, sends to Senate
http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2014/01/15/22316907-house-oks-11-t-spending-bill-sends-to-senate?lite
With relatively little fanfare, the House passed a $1.1 trillion spending bill Wednesday that will fund the government through October.
The vote was 359-67, with 64 Republicans and three Democrats opposed.
The bill now goes to the Senate, where it is expected pass as soon as Thursday.
Some influential outside conservative groups vocally opposed the legislation, saying it is too bloated and fails to cut out wasteful government programs.

The US Military is one of the big bloated budgets in the country! Time to trim some of that fat.
