Edible marijuana sales shattering sales projections in Colorado

Source: Denver Post

A one-month supply of marijuana edibles, gone in the first three days of January — that's what the area's largest supplier is saying about the incredible demand for the product since recreational sales were legalized in Colorado on Jan. 1.

"We are working hard," said Joe Hodas, chief marketing officer for Dixie Elixirs and Edibles. "We like to call ourselves the future of cannabis."

There is so much demand for edibles right now, they limit customers to two edible products a day at recreational pot shops like LoDo Wellness at 16th St. and Wazee in downtown Denver.

Dixie is building out a new 30,000 square foot warehouse and manufacturing facility to help meet significantly greater demand than expected. It should be fully operational this spring according to the company.

Blue Kudu's & Cheeba Chews - These two are not only good tasting but pack a serious punch. Just be sure and take them only when you know you are home for the night... Don't even consider trying to go out while taking these babies.

I am from the great "Commonwealth" of PA . A state that will probably never have legalization or medicinal. Boo-Hoo.

Those little vapor things look so cute. That guy on the TYT one I had never seen that before.

lack the prerequisite knowledge of how to smoke is getting pretty big. For them, eating is much simpler.

If it's easier to get your hands on edibles, it stands to reason smoking rates could decline. Win/win.

Edibles are strong, very strong. You will go down the ladder fast if you ingest more than proper serving for your condition/ tolerance . And much depends on who made it. Takes at least an hour you hit you too. So dont drive after eating Enjoy !

This is great news Colorado. Think of all the money made for the State, the owner, employees, the construction company that will have to build their new warehouse, new employees needed to meet demand, etc.

How this isn't legal everywhere hurts my soul. This would be very positive for our society on so many levels. Maybe that's why those assholes who say they are against legalization are the way they are: assholes who have no concept of the greater good.

We need some kind of guide to potency.

I ate 1/2 a candy bar that the "bud tender" recommended I eat only 1/4 of, and I was as whacked as I've ever been on anything.. ever.

Nice kind of whacked, tho.

but I prefer smoking to anything else. I use cannabis for nausea and edibles don't work for that, they're not quick enough, but they're great for pain and anxiety.
