Donald Trump Prominently Considers Run For New York Governor

Source: Associated Press

Donald Trump, the nation's most shameless political flirt, is at it again.

This time, the billionaire real estate mogul, reality TV star and perennial self-promoter is toying with the idea of challenging New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, saying the state's high taxes and tight gun-control laws make the Democratic incumbent vulnerable.

"I've got time," he told The Associated Press in an interview this week. "I believe - and many people believe - I'm the only Republican who can win. I think I would win easily."

Trump, who Forbes estimates is worth $3.5 billion, has vowed that he'll only run if the state's Republican Party rallies behind him and he faces no challengers for the nomination. "I've said it very clearly: If the Republican Party can unify and get their act together, I would spend the money and run," Trump said.

Ratings for this show were horrible in 2013 and Trump is worried that the show will be canceled or not renewed. Trump is trying to generate attention to help the ratings of this show

He must be in that bubble Bill Maher talks about because I don't know one person - no matter their political persuasion - that doesn't think he's an asshole. I hope he does run - he'll get creamed and humiliated.

A serious run for political office would destroy him; pull-yourself-up-by-your-own-bootstraps Republicans won't like the number of times he's gone bankrupt, hardcore Christians don't want a guy whose money comes from sin, and he's fucked too many people who know how to find the phone number for the local paper's city desk.

We have all been around long enough to realize that The Donald is a man of no political ambitions. It was funny 10 years ago but now it's annoying . Could the Donald balance the budget in the state of NY?
I think he was over his head when he had to make the choice between firing Gary Busey or Cheech Marin…

Let's stop talking about Mr. Trump…let's use this forum to move forward

Trump isn't even an actor like Arnold and Ronnie Reagan. Notice that dick heads are always republicans. I guess the qualifications for running as a member of the GOP is "no experience necessary".

elect a "business man" who has declared bankruptcy 4 times ?

I think not.

He can not run on his "business history," or his "family values history".
