Two U.S. security officers have been found dead aboard the Maersk Alabama, according to a story from The Associated Press.

The two, former Navy SEALs, were working as security contractors aboard the container ship. The Maersk Alabama was docked near an island northeast of Madagascar, according to the two's employer, the Trident Group.

The names of the two have not been released.

The Maersk Alabama was featured in the movie, "Captain Phillips." It told the story of a pirate hijacking off the coast of Somalia in 2009.

AP: 2 US security officers found dead in Seychelles

---CLIP
The two men's bodies were found on Tuesday in their cabin on the ship where it was berthed in Port Victoria in the Indian Ocean island nation of Seychelles.

The police gave no cause of death but said a post mortem has been scheduled.

The U.S. Coast Guard stated from its headquarters in Washington that it is also investigating the deaths.

The two men worked for U.S.-based Trident Security, according to the Seychelles police statement. Former military personnel frequently provide security on board ships sailing through the waters off Somalia to provide security against pirate attacks.

Trident Security was founded by former U.S. Navy SEALs in 2000 and employs former special warfare operators to provide security. Requests to Trident for information about the two men were not immediately answered on Wednesday.

The Maersk Line said the cause of death is under investigation but is "not related to vessel operations or their duties as security personnel."

1) Maersk

Among the reports coming out of Iraq in summer 2003--reports that were never followed up by the "military-industrial complex" press--was one that quoted a local city official in Basra, a harbor town, that he saw containers on a Maersk line ship that were marked as "Red Cross" but that contained missiles. As you will recall, there was an intense MIC press campaign at the time, run from the White House, about hunting down the (non-existent) WMDs in Iraq. I was already suspicious at that time that Cheney-Rumsfeld were intending to plant WMDs in Iraq to be 'found' by the U.S. soldiers who were 'hunting' for them. Judith Miller, the New York Slimes alleged reporter, who had brought us the war on Iraq, was accompanying those soldiers--and often directing them (to the annoyance of local commanders)--in prep for the 'Big Scoop' that she seemed to think was inevitable. But no WMDs were found. (Who busted that plot, if it is true? David Kelly--the British WMD inspector, and close colleague of Miller's (they wrote a book together)--who was found dead outside his home, under very suspicious circumstances, in July 2003? It's an interesting thesis.) in any case, if Maersk was involved in that planned fraud, could these deaths be connected to it? Were they potential whistleblowers?

2) The pursuit, murder and dumping-into-the ocean of Osama bin Laden.

I am very suspicious of the official story. Frankly, I think there was a very serious internal war going on between the CIA and Cheney-Rumsfeld (the CIA is another candidate for foiler of the WMD plot), and that the CIA had OBL on ice for a long time and denied the 'capture' to Cheney-Rumsfeld. (This is assuming that the official story is true as far as the identity of the murdered man--that it was OBL). As Navy Seals were involved in that tale, could these dead Navy Seals have had knowledge about that event that the "powers that be" don't want us to know?

The evidence is pretty flimsy, at this point, for either 1 or 2 being connected to these deaths. But then, the evidence for WMDs in Iraq was non-existent, as is the evidence for the demise of OBL (no body). (--not to mention, no trial). We'll see if these Navy Seals are ever identified, their murders (if it was murder) described and the perps caught, or if it just drops out of the 'news' like so much else. Another possibility is that it will be kept out of the 'news' until a cover story is concocted, as happened with Chandra Levy (ten years it took to prep the El Salvadoran patsy!)--if these Navy Seals were assassinated for official reasons.
