Doctors: Manuela Noriega Has Benign Brain Tumor

Doctors: Manuela Noriega Has Benign Brain Tumor
PANAMA CITY March 14, 2012 (AP)

Doctors in Panama said Tuesday that former dictator Manuel Noriega has a benign brain tumor, a possible heart condition and other ailments that raise the risk of him dying in prison.

A team of private doctors hired by Noriega's family said in a press conference that the penitentiary where the 78-year-old Noriega is being held lacks the medical facilities to treat him in case of an emergency.

Lawyers for the former strongman are seeking to have him serve out his 60-year sentence in a hospital or under house arrest, but the doctors said this decision depends on an evaluation by Panama's Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.

Noriega was toppled by a 1989 U.S. invasion and served 17 years in a U.S. prison for drug trafficking. He was later convicted in France of money laundering.

He's not going to have any "medical emergency". He's going to die a natural death while incarcerated, as his sentencing intended.

Manny may be a bad dude, but his trial and sentencing were travesties of justice. When Bush couldn't kill him, he had him tried in secret -- no reporting was allowed. No interviews. No statements. No nothing.

When Noriega didn't die during his first long prison sentence, SOMEBODY used their influence to get him extradited to France, where he continued to be held "in camera" -- forbidden to say anything in his own defense. After he served that sentence, too, he somehow STILL remains confined and no one on earth has yet heard him say one word.

Gee, it's almost as if the Bush Family Evil Empire made a high-level deal with SOMEBODY to keep Manny locked up and hushed up until he dies. And it now looks like they might finally get their way -- and that the BFEE will get away with another slimy crime (in this case, collusion in cocaine smuggling).

as soon as poppy and raygun came in the front door of the white house cocaine and marijuana could be found on any street corner in America. Coincidence, I think not. Prior to that if you didn't grow your own pot and didn't stash any you would be out of weed for months starting from around the Christmas holidays until the following summer. I know I used to smoke weed daily and it wasn't to be found. Maybe a little Mexican piss weed here and there that would remind you of what pot was but that really didn't pack much of a punch. In comes the raygun/poppy crew and pot and cocaine, which I've never been a user of could be found anywhere. In fact I knew a couple people who got rich from dealing in both during the early eighties. both dead now. Cocaine is hard on the old heart, both of them died from heart attacks and both had enlarged hearts. Signature of using a bunch of coke

It was a lot harder to find weed year round before the 80's, and of course coke became a prevalent drug then, too.

The husband of one of the members of my church died of a "benign" tumor that recurred after 5 years. He was only 39 years old.
