Controversial Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer won'd seek third term

Source: Washington Post

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) announced Wednesday that she will not seek a third term, ending months of speculation that she might challenge state law in order to seek four more years in office. Brewer has been at the center of big legislative debates that have stoked national controversy over immigration and gay rights. She recently vetoed a bill that would have allowed businesses to refuse service to gays and lesbians if it violates their religious beliefs.

Maybe *ahem* the Democrats can field someone. This was the state that had Napolitano as governor.

There is only one Democrat running for governor. I had never heard of him before he started running.

In February, 2014, Melvin was interviewed by Anderson Cooper on CNN, regarding Melvin's support for Arizona SB 1062, which had been characterized as allowing religious people to discriminate against others, if their beliefs were offended by those other people.[5] The following is an excerpt from their conversation:[6]
Cooper: “You can’t cite one example where religious freedom is under attack in Arizona.”
Melvin: “Not now, no, but how ’bout tomorrow?”
Cooper: “I don’t understand what that means.”

Now if we can just get rid of Joe Arpaio there might be some improvement to that State.

Issa is coming up for election too. If the citizens of San Diego can get their stuff together, maybe we can dispense with his sorry theatrics.
