Obama takes humorous jabs at health care stumble

WASHINGTON (AP) — Little was sacred when President Barack Obama tossed out playful but pointed jokes Saturday night — not even his own health care plan.

"We rolled out healthcare.gov. That could have gone better," Obama said in remarks at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner. "In 2008 my slogan was 'Yes we can.' In 2013 my slogan was 'Control-alt-delete.'"

One the plus side, the president said, "they did turn the launch of healthcare.gov into one of the year's biggest movies." On a screen flashed the poster for "Frozen."

When a video Obama introduced failed to play properly, he asked, "Does anybody know how to fix this?" To laughter, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius stepped up and said: "I got this. I see it all the time." In the wake of the problems with the website, Sebelius has announced she is stepping down.

very lame. Georgie's folly lead to the deaths of 100,000 innocent Iraqi children. The problems with the Obamacare website may have slowed down registration but only a small amount and it was the blame of the corporation hired to manage the website.
Georgie wanted to kill Iraqi's while Obama didnt want trouble with the website.

25. I'm left out too (I make about $2 too much to qualify for subsidized and

can't afford the part time job insurance). So I'll pay the fine instead. Maybe next year.

But, fwiw, when I had health insurance (from the same insurer the p/t job offers) they left me to die anyway. I lost 20+% of my already skinny body weight, had a slew of serious, serious symptoms, and very likely was septic. The HMO dr told me it was "all in your head" and refused to run a single test.

My dentist literally saved my life by putting me on a "prophylactic" broad-spectrum antibiotic for a month prior to removing 3 badly impacted wisdom teeth that probably had started the infection, which had gone internal (nothing showed externally, but my annual x-rays showed the impacted teeth).

So to me, not having health insurance is simply not having an expense that provides me with zero benefit. I've always had to pay out of pocket for any health care.

21. AP-in recounting some of Obama's jokes-says Obama said he went to Asia lately, that it was the only

way he could get coverage from CNN, and that they're still looking for their table. Obama said "Malaysia" which is funnier because of the obvious tie-in to the plane crash coverage and subsequent search. Why would they change it?
