Woman Arrested At Philadelphia Airport Carrying Loaded Gun and Knife
Source: Philadelphia Magazine
This is Kathryn Spiropoulos, a 53-year-old woman from Ewing, New Jersey. On Wednesday morning at 6:50 a.m., say police, Spiropoulos showed up at Philadelphia International Airport carrying a loaded gun and knife.
According to a statement released by the Philadelphia Police Department on Wednesday afternoon, TSA agents found the following in her purse: a .45-caliber Glock semi-automatic handgun, which contained a magazine loaded with ten rounds, and a credit card shaped object that folded into a knife, presumably something like this.
The statement goes on to say that Spiropoulos does not have a carry permit. She was arrested and charged with firearms violations.

Speaking of the TSA, the only reason why there is a huge outcry against the agency from the Right is because a large portion of screeners are black and they cannot stand the thought of someone of a different race touching them, let alone telling them what to do.

(5,842 posts)For the life of me I don't see how you don't realize you are carrying a gun in your handbag, backpack, etc.
I would think that one of the last things you do before leaving the house for an airplane flight is to check your pockets, purse etc... just to make sure you have car keys, cell phone, wallet, or anything else you don't want to leave home.
In the process of checking for those things how do you miss the fact that there's a gun in your bag?
