Congressional campaign fundraising: Paul Ryan sets new personal record

Source: FOX6NEWS

RACINE (AP) — U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan has set a new personal record for fundraising.

The Journal Times of Racine reports Ryan raised $1.6 million in the quarter that ended June 30. It is the most the Republican congressman has ever raised in a quarter.

Ryan was first elected to Congress in 1998. He ran for vice president in 2012 and is frequently mentioned as a possible presidential contender in 2016.

This year has seen Ryan’s two best fundraising quarters. He raised nearly $1.4 million in the quarter that ended March 31. Campaign finance reports show he has $3.8 million on hand.

Yep even more than McConnell although it will be great to see him go too. I can't stand Ryan one bit.

Boehner has a long history of that:

Speaker John Boehner Admits to Bribery

Published on Mar 22, 2013

John Boehner had admitted that congressional bribery has been going on for a long time. When the House minority leader was questioned about taking bribes from tobacco lobbyists in June of 1995 in exchange for taxpayer subsidies, and then redistributing them to other congressional members on the House floor, Boehner said, "They [the lobbyists] asked me to give out a half dozen checks, quickly, before we got to the end of the month --- and I complied.

And I did it on the House floor, which I regret, and should not have done. It's not a violation of the House rules, but it's a practice that's gone on here for a long time that we're trying to stop and I know that I'll never do it again."

To read the whole story, Google "Bud Meyers Outsourcing Death for Profits".

But he's still doing it, maybe he's getting a great kickback.

That's what it was like for Governor Walker when he had his election and then the recall.

Yup. Koch money was abundant.

All he will do is split the conservative/tea party voters up. I'm fine with that.
