Rules Panel Backs Resolution Allowing House to Sue Obama

Source: Roll Call

The House Rules Committee, already known for not being a bastion of cross-party comity, devolved into significant partisan rancor Thursday morning over a resolution to allow the House to sue the president of the United States.

The panel advanced consideration of the measure in a party-line, 7-4, vote after nearly two hours of debate, with Democrats and Republicans accusing each other in turn of playing political games.

Democrats said Republicans’ pursuit of a lawsuit against Barack Obama for making unilateral changes to the Affordable Care Act after the law was passed, with Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts accusing his GOP counterparts of acting out of “hatred” for the president and at one point calling the Republicans “cuckoo clocks.”

“I’ll come up with a better word if I can think of one,” McGovern replied after Rules Chairman Pete Sessions, R-Texas, asked him to refrain from such name-calling of his colleagues.

our POTUS is who he is, for one reason, among many and that reason being that world could finally see what a backward, racist, homophobic and anti-woman society this really has ALWAYS been. Hidden most times with our touting 'democratic' ideals based on 'freedom' for all. BS!!!, This POTUS has brought out the 'best' in amerikkka and it ain't pretty and I'm glad that world really gets an eye and earful.

GOPers, Libertarians and further right winger nut jobs are gonna get crazier closer to the elections. Reason besides them being nuts, they are trying to get their nutso base out in full force. Only thing tho, Indies and Dems will come out as well. That's why GOPers are trying to oppress the vote.

Vote these assholes out of office and try to being back some normality to the American people, i.e. Supreme Court Justices, Federal Courts, and courts down the line. Bring back women's right to her own body and for God sakes get Citizen United overturned.

I'm betting that before the election someone in the HR caucus will call President Obama the "N" word publicly and in front of cameras...it will just slip out before they realize and can self-censor....Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.
