'Pistol Packing Preacher' pleads no contest to possession of marijuana

A Beaumont pastor known as the "Pistol Packing Preacher" pled no contest to possession of marijuana on Wednesday.
James Arthur McAbee was sentenced by Judge Langston Adams to two years deferred probation with a $2,000 fine.
McAbee was arrested during a traffic stop in April after undercover Beaumont police officers observed McAbee with a known prostitute, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Police believed McAbee had been making a drug transaction.
