Trayvon Martin's Family Wants Feds To Look Into State Attorney

SANFORD, Fla. -- Trayvon Martin's family will file a new request to the Department of Justice on Monday.

Martin's family wants federal investigators to look into allegations of interference by State Attorney Norm Wolfinger.

The family says they want to know why the State Attorney's Office chose not to bring charges against George Zimmerman.

Meanwhile, a recording obtained by the New York Daily News is also fueling controversy.

In the tape, paramedics are heard canceling a second ambulance dispatched the Sanford community where Martin was shot and killed.

... than it is about long-embedded institutional bias that treats the killing of a black male teen as inconsequential. Until and unless the DOJ treats this as fulsomely (and far more promptly) as Mississippi Burning and the Birmingham church fire-bombing, the embedded corruption and bigotry aligned to protect privilege will continue to wreak havoc on innocent lives.

I believe that this was an injustice that involves much more than just the Sanford PD. I would put them under the light with intense scrutiny, hear them sing, and then follow the trail to see just how far up the ladder the cover-up goes.
