In Senate debate, Ben Sasse ducks verbal jabs thrown at him by David Domina, independent candidates

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Democrat David Domina didn’t wait long to take a swing against Republican Ben Sasse at the first debate in Nebraska’s race for U.S. Senate.
During the primary election earlier this year, Sasse defeated three other Republicans by touting his conservative credentials.
Monday night, Domina tried to portray Sasse’s positions as too extreme for Nebraskans and unlikely to help a gridlocked Congress.
“The aisle can’t even be found, much less crossed, with (his) approach,” Domina said.
