Romney to Raise Money for McConnell in Kentucky

Source: ABC News

Mitt Romney is coming to Kentucky to raise money for U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, the latest in a string of high-profile politicians getting in on one of the country's most competitive midterm races.

Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee, won Kentucky with more than 60 percent of the vote. President Barack Obama remains unpopular in Kentucky, and McConnell — who is battling Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes in the toughest re-election campaign of his 30-year career — has spent millions trying to convince voters Grimes supports Obama's agenda.

"Governor Romney wanted to take the country in a different direction than President Obama in 2012, and Senator McConnell is proud to have his support as Kentuckians are given another opportunity to do that this November," McConnell spokeswoman Allison Moore said.

Romney will visit Lexington on Oct. 2 for a McConnell fundraiser. Kentucky native and Alliance Resource Partners CEO Joe Craft will co-host the event along with his fiancee, former Bush administration appointee Kelly Knight.

I don't think the GOP could have chosen a more out of touch candidate.
Well, maybe they could have...there were several of them to chose from, actually.

Alison was ripping him apart, to interpret what Alison was saying. Wait till the Big Dog Bill gets to Kentucky, he will explain what ACA has done for Kentucky citizens. I am watching this one, it would be great retirement party for McConnell. GOTV, elect Alison.

Take one of those luxury automobiles down your car elevator with a trunk load of cash and cruise to Kentucky.

How do you fumigate an entire city??????

Oh.... can't bear the thought of breathing the same air as Romney. I thought it was bad enough when Yukon Barbie came a few years ago to promote her book.

I think I'll leave the county on that day.

Getting a person whose private equity fund at Bain caused huge amounts of grief by buying out companies and ripping the former bond between employer and employees with regards to employment, wages and pensions is not going to go well with those who know about it. Time for Grimes to take advantage of this.

After all of the hateful comments that McConnell has made about immigrants, people of color, the poor, the elderly, and women over the last few years, bringing a complete douchebag like Mitt Romney in to spew his support of McConnell, is like Al Capone asking Lucky Luciano to vouch for him!!!!
