Lawsuits seek any Michael Brown juvenile records

CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) — Lingering questions about Michael Brown could be answered Wednesday as two news organizations seek the release of any possible juvenile records 7/8for the unarmed 18-year-old who was killed by a Missouri police officer last month.

Juvenile records are confidential in Missouri, so it's not definitively known if Brown was arrested before he legally became an adult. Police have said Brown had no adult criminal record. The family's attorney, Benjamin Crump, has refused to discuss whether Brown had a juvenile record.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and a California online journalist have filed separate petitions in St. Louis County Family Court to determine whether Brown had past legal trouble. Both cite an overriding public right to know Brown's background after his shooting death by Ferguson officer Darren Wilson sparked more than a week of sometimes-violent protests and drew international scrutiny.

The more basic argument boils down to the question of whether Brown's privacy rights extend beyond the grave.

3. Juvenile records should remain sealed, barring some exceptional circumstance.

There is no compelling 'need to know' here. In a different situation, say one in which a living defendant stood charged with a heinous, violent crime, then an argument might be made that opening a juvenile's criminal record is warranted IF that record shows a clear pattern of violent or otherwise sociopathic behavior. In the current situation, no such need exists.

8. My close friend, a successful 37-year-old lawyer, has a juvie record for

shoplifting when he was a teenager. But he is white and middle class, so he is not likely to be killed by police for jaywalking, even having surrendered with his hands up.

Still, if he were killed under circumstances similar to those that led to Brown's murder, would his teenage record for shoplifting be in any way relevant to the guilt of the cop who decided to commit an extrajudicial execution (for jaywalking) of an unarmed man surrendering with his hands up?

Here is our local Trayvon. Just thought you would like to know what a nice guy he was, with going to college and all. Good oil' Al Sharpton was on all three local networks today. I thought he was supposed to give a eulogy, but I heard an incite to riot talk.

The “Gentle Giant” was known on the streets as “Big Mike” and was a bully and gang member who committed “strong-arm” robbery at a convenience store just minutes before being shot by police. His accomplice was 22 years old Dorian Johnson who was a wanted fugitive with an outstanding police warrant. Both these nice young boys have police records.

This is going to be another Trayvon case as most Libs and blacks are not going to like the outcome.

The WAPO reported that Mister Brown was college bound and makes it sound like the police officer involved just singled him out for no reason. Luckily the internet filters the news now. Here's some background on Mister Michael Brown.......

The new Racial poster boy Michael R Brown has felony's pending in Court. Yes, that guy who was on his way to College was arrested and charged with Burglary, Armed criminal action, Assault with the intent to do great bodily harm, and again armed criminal action. He was scheduled to go to court in Sept. (Now, I thought he was supposed to go to college in Sept? Imagine that!)

It seems whenever Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Obama chime in, it winds up being another Tawana Brawley type case. PHONY!

They destroyed Zimmerman and they will destroy this fine officer as well, even though it most likely will be found the officer was justified in the use of lethal force in this case.

This “unarmed teenager”, as the liberal media like to portray Michael Brown, was nothing but a punk hoodlum, who used his size to intimidate others.

The picture with the money and Hawaiian punch was not Michael Brown. He is a typical black male who get harassed by the police and he fought back. I am more scared of the open carry guys and the crazies at the Bundy ranch in Nevada with their military assault weapons pointed at law enforcement. And I am especially scared of the fox cable network which makes people become mean and hateful instead of standing for what jesus taught us to "love thy neighbor as thyself."



This comes from a women who was raised in Germany during the time of Hitler (was a Hitler youth) and married an American GI and became an American citizen. I'm sure she watches Fox everyday in her comfortable retirement.
